Sometime Later...

Avni woke up and had to squint her eyes to adjust to the light. She looked around and realized she was in the apartment room, she looked down to see herself in a different gown.

She scrunched her eyebrows trying to recall who could have done it, but the only thing she could recall was her falling into the pond. She started to think that it might have been Neil, making her insides flutter.

" Don't worry it wasn't me, it was the nurse" Neil smirked making her face heat up.

" By the way, what sort of clumsiness was that. You were away from me in a flash, and then splash, you were in the water" Neil said jokingly

" I-"

" It's okay don't talk now, just have some rest" he sits down beside her on the bed and his skin brushes hers and she stiffens still not used to his touch.

After a few minutes, she drifts off to sleep.

Avni woke up in the night feeling uncomfortable in her gown, she stood up and noticed the room was dimly lit, only the light from the bedside lamp illuminated the room, which couldn't reach the extremities of the room.

She looked at the other side of the bed only to find it empty, she turned to the couch at the other side of the room but he wasn't there, she assumed he was working and walked into the walk in closet.

She opened her luggage and picked out one of her night wears only to see that it was a different one from the long one she normally wore.

She started to think of why she packed this in the first place, then she realized she stuffed anything that looked like a cloth into her bag cause she was in a hurry.

So there was only one person who could have put it there...

" Hello? " Avni said frowning

" Hello" Ahana said sleepily

" Why did you put weird clothes in my wardrobe before I left? " Avni snapped

On hearing this, all the sleep left Ahana's body in a jiffy, and she sat up straight on her bed.

" So have you worn it?! " she asked

" You haven't answered my question" Avni said in a whispering but angry voice.

" fine... I sort of knew you were going to elope to meet Neil, you weren't going to last a minute longer if you had stayed" Ahana said

Avni relaxed a little bit and was trying to hold the smile that was threatening to form at the corners of her lips.

" So what's been happening with you guys? " Ahana said tiredly

"Umm...nothing really" she didn't want to tell anyone about the confession. It was private. It was between Neil and her.

"OK so have you worn it? " Ahana asked

" Uh... Nno, I haven't "

" well what are you waiting for. Put it on"

" Umm... " Avni hesitated

" Come on Avni, I know you and I know what I'm doing, that's why I didn't put something uncomfortable. When you wear it you'll see"

" OK, let me just change, I'll call you back"

She entered the bathroom to change, and sometime later, she came out and walked back into the closet. She picked up her phone and called Ahana again. She picked it up on the first ring.
