Chapter 4

Mackenzie POV

"Na na na na na na it's a girl party. Girl party" I sing while walking into the kitchen with Maddie and Kendall

" Morning loves" Louis and Liam greet us simultaneously.

" Good morning" Kendall and I say. Maddie just rolls her eyes.

Louis looks at her with distaste before speaking.

"Madison, I know it's none of my business, but are you on your period, because your attitude is horrible"He smirks

"What the hell?!?" Maddie yells and Kendall, Liam and I try to stifle our laughter.

"First of all, don't call me Madison, second of all you can't ask that. What is freaking wrong with you!"

"I'm sorry MADISON, it was just a question" Louis says, emphasizing her name

We couldn't take it anymore, we all burst out laughing, except for Maddie of course.

"And the answer to your question is no by the way" I add through my laughter

Maddie rolls her eyes and storms out of the room, cursing under her breath

"Calm down Maddie, it was just a joke" I shout while Kendall runs out of the room to calm her down.

"Finally she's gone. How do you deal with her?" Liam asks

"Well she's my sister, so you learn to cope with it most times" I sigh

" I wouldn't take that shi- I mean crap from my sisters." Louis says " You know you remind me of my 10 year old sisters Phoebe and Daisy"

"Well I am 10 and I'm gonna choose to take that as a compliment"

"It is" Louis smiles a warm smile

"Well anyway I am not going to put up with Maddie's behaviour, so now it's time to punish her... What's her favorite thing to do besides dance?"Liam smirks

"Uh shopping,why?" Why would they want to know that? 

"Because Mack, we're going to get some revenge" Louis sings

"Who wants to go shopping?" Louis yells and snaps his fingers in a 'z' formation.

We all jump up and down raising our hands like kindergarten students. We run to our rooms to get dressed and shortly after, we all head to the car. Everyone scrambles into the car, but Louis stops Maddie right before she enters.

"Let me pass" Maddie demands

"Oh, didn't Liam tell you" He asks, pretending to be curious

" Tell me what?"

"You won't be joining us on the shopping trip today" Louis says in a baby voice.

"Why not!" She yells

"Maddie, you need to get rid of that dreadful attitude of yours or you will not be joining us on any future outings." Liam scolds

"You can't do this!" Maddie screams

"Yes they can, Mommy put them in charge of us, so you have to listen to them" I add

"Fuck off Kenzie, no one was talking to you asshole"

"Madison, I will not allow you to speak to your sister like that, especially when she's right. Now go back inside" Louis shouts and Maddie flinches.

"I hate my life right now, ughh" Maddie yells, waving her hands frantically in the air. She obliges and goes back inside. I'm pretty sure I saw her give us the finger, but I choose to ignore her.

"That was the best shopping trip ever!" Nia and Brooke scream as we enter the house and make our way to Maddie.

"Really, what happened?" Maddie asks curiously. Her eyes are red and puffy. Has she been crying?

"Well, first we went to Macy's and you wouldn't believe who we saw." Autumn smiles

"Who?" Maddie says so low that it is almost a whisper

"Justin Beiber! Like, we don't know why he's here in England, but he is. Niall, Kenzie and I lost it and we almost fainted. You should have been there" Autumn screams. I don't think she notices that Maddie is starting to look sad. I don't think anyone else notices either. Maddie has always wanted to meet Justin. Even though I shouldn't, I feel sorry for her.

"Then we met 5SOS at Starbucks. The boys already know them, but we each got pictures with them and they sang for us" Paige says

"Oh" Maddie struggles to say

"Well they'll be opening for the boys on the WWA tour, so you might get to meet them" I add and smile sympathetically at her. She throws me a weak smile.

"Then we me this really cute guy named Luke and he said that you and Nia are his favourites. Since you weren't there he only flirted with Nia. He even gave her his number and let's just say, Nia made a love connection." Brooke giggles and Nia seems beyond embarrassed.

Maddie looks down right miserable. She's been hoping to get a boyfriend since forever. Even though no one else notices, she is on the verge of crying. They really need to stop talking.... like now.

"Then we-"Kendall starts, but I cut her off

"Oh my God! Don't you guys see how sad Maddie is getting. You guys know she would love to do all these things. She looks like she's about to cry. I'm sure you're not doing this on purpose, but it probably seems like you all are rubbing it in her face" I rant and the girls cringe. I'm, shouting so hard I think I'm scaring them.

Maddie is full on crying when she runs into the room that we share with Brooke, Nia and Kendall.

" Erm, what happened? I suppose I should go and check on her." Zayn says, scratching the back of his head

"No, I think I should go" I say

"Yea man, I think Mackenzie should go. She knows Maddie more than all of us." Niall says

I give him a small smile before heading to our room. When I reach I close the door and sit down on the bed beside Maddie.

" Are you okay Mads?" I ask

"Thank you" She pulls me into a hug.

"Thanks for what?" I ask confused

" For everything" She sighs

"It's the least I can do. You're always there for me, plus I can't stand to see you so sad" I say

"But I'm always mean to you. When have I ever been there for you?" She sniffles

"Um.... when I was doing your 'cry' solo. You and Christi were the only one's there for me. You even gave me a bunch of tips before I went on to help me do better, even though I was competing against you"

" Yeah, I guess I am a great big sister." Maddie laughs and I join her

"By the way, did you notice that Harry is always flirting with Autumn, but she ignores him" I change the topic to lighten the mood

" Yeah, there's this tension between the two of them. Ooh I sense some drama" Maddie laughs and does googly eyes

" There's the Maddie I know. The fun, gossip-loving Maddie." I smile

She pulls me in another hug. "Thank you for being such a good sister even though I'm a crappy one. You are my absolute favourite sister." Maddie smiles

"I'm your only sister" I laugh " but I'm going to take that as a compliment"
