Chapter 12

Brooke POV

Louis, Liam, Kenzie and I are watching tv in the living room.

"Liam. I love Toy Story as much as any other 10 year old, but can we change the channel" Kenzie whines

"What? Why?" Liam asks

"Because we've seen this 12 times since we reached here. Why do you think everyone else left when you changed it her?" I laugh

"No, we are watching it!" Liam screams playfully

The movie is interrupted by a ' Breaking News" report.

"Breaking News, Abby Lee MIller and accomplice Melissa Gisoni have escaped from prison. Most likely they're are in search of the victims of their crimes. Be on the lookout for them, if found, there will be a reward of 10,000 pounds." The reporter says and all our jaws drop open.

"No,No,No" I scream and start to cry." This can't be happening. This is why we told you not to report them. Now she's gonna hurt us even worse."

Mackenzie begins to sob and holds onto Louis for dear life. Liam hugs me and rubs soothing circles in my back.

"It's okay loves. We won't let them hurt you" Louis says in an attempt to comfort us, but it doesn't work.

"Should we tell the others?" I ask

"No. We don't want to frighten them" Liam says sternly

"Don't you guys have bodyguards or something" Kenzie sniffs

"Actually we do. I'll call Paul and Preston and ask them to keep an eye out" Liam says and dials their numbers.

Maddie POV

Kenzie has been on edge since this morning, so I decide to use it to my advantage. I went on the internet and recorded Abby shouting Mackenzie's name.

Kenzie is alone watching tv in the basement, so I decide that now is the right time to scare her. I slowly creep behind the couch she is on and make a scratching noise on the back of the couch. She jumps.

"It's all in your head Kenzie. It's all in your head" She says to calm herself. She draws her knees to her chest and hugs them, rocking slightly.

I wait a few minutes then play my recording of Abby's voice. "Aaaaah" Kenzie lets out a deafening scream. I can't help it, I burst out laughing. I roll on the ground and have a laughing fit with tears streaming down my face.

"I hate you Maddie" Kenzie screams and runs upstairs, most likely to Louis or Liam.

"Good, because I never liked you anyway" I shout back at her. I don't mean it, but her words hurt, so I want to hurt her back.

Louis POV

Mackenzie runs up to me crying. She doesn't look sad, she looks angry. I already know the cause of her tears is most likely Maddie.

"What did Maddie do?" I ask angrily

"She went on the internet and recorded Abby saying my name" She sniffs" then she sneaked up behind and played it so I would be scared"

"What's wrong with her?!?" I nearly yell. Maddie is so infuriating. I thought she actually changed that time we punished her. I guess not.

"Madison Nicole Ziegler, get your ass upstairs. Boys, come her a minute."I shout causing Mack to flinch and they all come to me.

"What's wrong mate" Zayn asks

"Madison, felt the need to scare Mackenzie using a recording of Abby's voice." I sum up the situation.

"Maddie, why do you keep doing that?" Niall asks desperately trying to keep his cool.

"Because it's funny" Maddie laughs

"You need to stop this or we will call your father or something"Liam demands. She just rolls her eyes.

"What did I ever do to you?" Mackenzie cries

"Well..for starters, you were born"Maddie smirks and crosses her arms over her chest.

"i hate you so much" Mack says

"You know, I really thought you had changed after we came back from the mall and you and Kenzie had that heart to heart, but I was wrong. You're a little brat. Usually people who have been abused are not brats." I spit and instantly regret the words as soon as they leave my mouth. I watch as Maddie's smirk turns to a grimace and she runs to her room. That was really mean of me to say that, no matter how angry I am.

"Way to go Lou" Harry says sarcastically and hits me in the back of the head.

"I didn't mean to say it" I frown

"You should have Brooke talk to her" Kenzie says" Because I'm not doing it"
