6. Time of Death

Liam and I are currently at Scott's house, we apparently figured out a plan on how we can try and figure out who The Benefactor is.

Scott, me, Stiles, Liam, and Kira were around the kitchen table; a laptop sitting in front of Kira, and Stiles, while Liam takes out another laptop from a bag and sets it in front of him. "Is three enough?" Kira asks Stiles, "Depends on how many cameras they have. But, I think so," Stiles answered. I was nervous about what was about to happen, I was nervous about this whole situation.

"Are we really doing this?" Liam asked, practically saying the same exact thing I was thinking. "We're doing it. Tonight," Scott said glancing over at all of us, "But, isn't it kind of dangerous?" I asked. "Yup! It's incredibly dangerous. And borderline idiotic," Stiles sighed as he looked over at me, "Have you guys ever done anything like this before?" I asked.

"Something dangerous? Or something idiotic?" Stiles asked, "I think it's yes to both," Kira answered. I sighed while Liam gulped, "You don't have to be a part of it if you guys don't want to," Scott said. "I'm not scared," my brother said, I looked over at him and back to Scott. "I'm not scared either," I said trying to make it seem like I was brave when in reality I was kind of terrified.

"Then you're borderline idiotic," Stiles said as he patted our backs and smiled sarcastically, Stiles then turned back to Scott. "If we do this, we don't know what's coming for us. You know that, right?" Stiles said, "How do we even know something's definitely coming?" Kira asked. "Because the tape from Garrett's bag said visual confirmation required," Scott explained.

"Simon said the same thing, he couldn't get paid by The Benefactor until he had proof that you guys were dead," Stiles said, probably remembering back when Siman had the gun pointed up to Stiles' head.

And ever since the day we brought Brett over to Deaton, Stiles and I actually started getting closer. He told me everything that happened at the school in detail, and I was glad that nothing really bad happened to them.

"So, the idea is: what if you kill someone on the dead pool, but you can't send the proof?" Scott said, "You don't get paid," Kira finished for him. "But how does that get us any closer to The Benefactor?" Liam asked, "He still needs to know if the target is really dead," Scott answered.

"Especially if it's someone high on the list," Stiles said looking at Scott, "So if he wants visual confirmation..." I said trailing off a little. "He's going to have to come get it himself," Scott finished off for me, I sigh. "Lin, if you don't want to do this-" I cut Stiles off, "No, I'm going to do this. I want to help. And plus, if you haven't noticed... Liam and I are both on that list. I don't want to be home alone knowing someone might come through my window and kill me or something," I said looking over at Liam.
