  LINDSEY DUNBAR

I was sitting on Liam's bed, watching him and Mason play a video game. And Liam, beat Mason once again. "When did you get so good? You been practicing?" Mason asks. "Or did you suddenly get superhuman reflexes?" my eyes widened, "Uh... practicing. Yeah, I've been practicing," Liam says. "And I should be studying," Mason says handing my brother the controller, "Where you going?" Liam and I ask at the same time.

"Home, we got a history test tomorrow," Mason says looked over at the both of us, "Come on, one more game," Liam says. "Yeah, you said that four games ago," Mason sighs and makes his way out of the room, "Study here, you can stay over. Come on, one more game. Just one," Liam begs.

For a while, Liam hasn't been able to sleep very well. He told me that since the night at the hospital, where he fought off a berserker he'd been dreaming or seeing them everywhere. That is why he wanted Mason to stay just a bit longer.

"You okay?" Mason asked, I sighed. I was about to say something but Liam cut me off, "Yeah, you're right. You should go. We should probably study too, see you at school" Liam said looking down at his hands. Mason looked at me with a confused yet worried face, "I'll walk you out," I said and we started walking to the front door. "Is he okay?" he asks, I nod. "Yeah, he hasn't really gotten that much sleep and he's kinda stressed out. But, don't worry he'll be fine. I'll keep an eye on him though," I say, he nods. "Alright, goodnight," Mason says and walks out the door, "Night," I say back and close the door behind him.

I walk over to Liam's room, "Goodnight, Liam," I say to him. "Night," he sighs, I close the door and walk into my room, I hop into the covers and lay there. I didn't need to study for the test, history is my favorite class and I usually pass. So, I wasn't all that worried about that. What I was worried about was my brother, I was focusing my hearing on him. To see if his heartbeat sped up, or if he might say something in his sleep.

"You're not there. You're not there," I heard my brother say, and his heartbeat sped up a bit. I quickly sat up in my bed and right when I was about to get out of bed to go and comfort him, his heartbeat slowed down. I laid back down and sighed, and I finally fell asleep.

I was at the gym working out with Liam and Mason. Liam was bench pressing, Mason was lifting some weights, and I was doing squats. "That's a lot of weight," Mason said to Liam who put a lot of weight into the bar, "I'm trying to get ready for the game tomorrow" Liam says as he sits on the bench. "You need a spot?" Mason asks, "No. Do you?" Liam asks him. "This is my warm up, you ass," Mason chuckles a bit, I roll my eyes and smile a bit. Mason puts his dumbbells down and goes over to Liam, "Wait, what are you doing?" Liam asks him.

"I'm spotting you," Mason replies, I stop doing my squats and start walking over to them. "I said I don't need one," Liam tells him, "You should need one," I say. "Yeah. Are you kidding me? This is like 300 pounds. You're gonna kill yourself," Mason says, Liam lays down and lifts all the weight he put in. I roll my eyes as he sits up again, "Do I look like I need help?" he asks. I shake my head, and Mason and I walk out.

"What's wrong with him?" Mason asks me, I shrug. "I don't know," I say, we then see Scott walking over to us. "Where's Liam?" he asks, and as if on cue we hear Liam grunting and coughing. We all run over to the gym and Scott lifts the bar off Liam's chest, Liam then quickly get off the bench and sits on the floor while clutching his chest. I instantly kneel next to him, "Liam?" Mason says worryingly. "I'm fine," Liam tells him, Scott then kneels in front of us.

"If you don't want to be with us, that's okay. But don't push your friends away too," Scott tells him, Liam looks over at our best friend and then looks over at the mirror that's across the room. I notice he looks a bit scared, "Liam? You okay?" I ask.
