  LINDSEY DUNBAR

Mason, Liam and I were in the gym. As Liam and Mason were working out, Mason was talking to him about god knows what. And I was just sitting on the floor doing sit-ups, "You know how I keep reminding Garrett to give me back my hoodie?" Mason asked. "Yeah," Liam answered as he went over to add more weight to the bar, "Well, I remembered you said he lived in that housing development on Spaulding," Mason said. "So, I went there and guess what?" I sighed and looked up at him, "Turns out it's a place where I can die in a hole? Cause I so want to do that right about now, especially with what's been going on," I said but whispering the last part.

Mason stopped what he was doing and looked at me, "No! The housing development is still in development!" Mason exclaimed. "So?" Liam asked as he went back to lift up the bar, "There are no houses yet," Mason explained. "So, unless the dude lives in some backhoe, there's something he's not telling us," Mason shrugs, "And then there are these other two dudes, man, they've been acting really strange. Running to school for no reason, disappearing at parties," Mason said as Liam went to put even more weight on the bar.

"Huh, interesting," I shrugged and went back to doing sit-ups, "Yeah, they used to be my best friends," Mason said. "Uh-huh," Liam said obviously not listening to a word his best friend was saying. "Wait, is it... do they happen to be..." I trailed off as I stopped doing my workout again. Is he talking about us?

"And one of them is apparently on steroids," Mason said looking at how much Liam had put on the bar, "What?" Liam asked confused. "You're not actually going to try to lift that, are you?" Mason asked, Liam sat up and looked over at the bar. Mason kneeled in front of his best friend, I sat in front of Liam. "Are you alright?" I asked my brother, "I mean, is it about the game tonight?" Mason asked. "I'm fine, it's just a scrimmage," Liam said, "You know who you're playing, right?" Mason asked. "Yeah, I mean no. I guess I missed the announcement," Liam said, "Who is he playing?" I asked Mason. "Guys, it's your old school. Devenford Prep," Mason told him, "I'm sorry, what?" I said. Liam just looked at Mason with wide eyes.

After Mason and Liam and I worked out a bit more, Liam and I went back to the locker room. "Liam, you better not do anything stupid when they come," I said as Liam threw his gym bag on the bench, he looked up to his locker and furrowed his eyebrows. "What the hell?" he said, "What?" I said then I noticed his lacrosse stick wasn't there anymore. "Where's my stick?" he asked, "You didn't take it home with you?" I asked. "What? No! Why would-" he got cut off by this scraping sound, "You hear that?" he asked. I nodded, we quietly walked over to the other side of the lockers.

Then this guy came out, with a lacrosse stick in his hands, "Is this yours?" the guy asked looking at Liam. Who the hell is this guy? Why the hell is he touching my brothers stuff?
