Ch. 7

After the movies I just couldn’t stop laughing

“how was that not scary to you?” I laughed even harder

“did you forget what my job is? Sorry, but im not afraid of a man in a mask chasing college sluts with a weed-whacker” he rolled his eyes

“but the string was knives” again I laughed and shook my head

“I made one of those in the fifth grade to scare my teachers” he completely stopped, pulling my arm at the same time

“what is your problem?” he kept staring behind me so I turned around and seen a shadow of a man walking towards us

“get behind me” I growled and threw his hands off of me

“shut up, I can protect myself” he growled as the guy stopped right in front of me, causing me to gasp. He was the same guy that’s been following me

“I know you know who I am” I shook my head

“not exactly, I know you’ve been following me” he nodded his head and stuck his hand out to me

“the name is alec, im your protector” I rolled my eyes at him

“seriously? I have enough guys thinking their my protectors, I don’t need another one” he pulled his hand back when he realized, I wasn’t going to shake his hand

“your brother sent me to keep an eye on you” I closed my eyes and took a deep breath

“my brother sent you? You were there in the alley and at my parents condo?” he nodded his head and he frowned slightly

“my condolences, for your lose” I shrugged my shoulders

“people die, it’s the way of life” he shook his head

“you shouldn’t have to deal with the pain of losing both parents at the same time, while you..” I slapped my hand over his mouth

“not another word” realization flashed in his eyes when he looked at jax and he nodded his head. I pulled my hand away and ran it through my hair

“listen, alec? Yea I don’t need a protector, you can tell my brother that I said it personally and tell him to stop worrying, that im fine” he seemed confused but nodded his head

“as you wish” then he turned around and disappeared as jax wrapped his arm around my waist

“why would your brother send someone to watch over you when your with us?” I shrugged my shoulders and sighed out of frustration

“that’s the thing with milo, he doesn’t have to have a reason for his actions. And he doesn’t trust very many people with me, even if you are family” with that we jumped in his car and headed back to the house, by the time we got home it was really dark and everybody was already sleeping. I said goodnight to jax and kissed his cheek before I walked into my bedroom collapsing on the bed without even changing.

--Alec’s POV--

After I walked away from rose I jumped to the building watching over her just as the alpha wrapped his arm around her

“why would your brother send someone to watch over you when your with us?” she shrugged and sighed

“that’s the thing with milo, he doesn’t have to have a reason for his actions. And he doesn’t trust very many people with me, even if you are family” so she thought I was sent by milo? I laughed and shook my head. Apparently, her family hasn’t told her the truth yet. By the time I got to her house, she was passed out on her bed without even changing.
