"The fact that he wants money confuses me. Why just money ?" I told Aaliyah as we arrived at the Cabello residence. We had token another flight back to Miami and had to lie to our parents that we were coming back just to check my work out.

"Maybe he's broke ? You know unless he calls and says he wants something more." Aaliyah suggested as I got off the car. "That's very true but for right now we have to see if they didn't take the rest of the family." I said and got the keys out of my pocket and opened the door.

"We could have just knocked you know." Aaliyah shook her head and entered the house.

"Hello ! Anyone here ?!" I yelled and quickly heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Y/n ? Is that you sweetie ?" I heard Sinu as she came down the stairs. "Mama are you okay ? Where's Sofia ?" I asked as the little one came down as well and engulfed me in a tight embrace. I looked at her in the eyes and could see they were bloodshot red. I placed her down and kissed her head.

"Where's your husband ?" I asked as Sinu pointed towards the living room. I walked over and saw him sitting down with his hands covering his face.

"What happened ?" I asked but he didn't answer. I was starting to loose my patience, I slammed my hands at the table that caused him to look up at me. He had bags under his eyes and they were too bloodshot red.

"What the hell happened Alejandro! I want answers !" I told him as he stood up and faced me.

"This is as much fault mine as it is yours kid !" He growled and sat back down.

"Don't call me that you son of a bitch , I have a fucking name and you better learn to say it. Now what's all this shit about."

"It's your parents , your mom furthermore from it." I raised my eyebrows and turned around to look at Aaliyah who just shrugged her shoulders.

"What about my mom ? What did she do ?" I asked him as he motioned me to take a seat in front of him.

"It's what she didn't do, and as foolish as it seems to me it's going to seem to you as well." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. I could tell he was nervous I've never heard someone more doubtful than him at this very moment.

"You're mother was really young when she was dating this Italian man at the age of 16. The man was studying at blandford where you're mother lived at the time. They met at a coffee shop , they connected quickly." I sighed and knew where this was going but still payed attention

"They dated for about 3 years , and the man who is my boss planned on asking her to marry him that one night. Turned out she had left without saying a word. It took a huge toll on him. He went through depression and even attempted suicide."

"He later on discovered that she got married and had two kids. Which was Shawn and you. I at the time needed money for my family I had bumped into him in Ontario when I went for a business trip that went horribly wrong. He offered to give good money if I took care of a kid for him. I said yes right then and there not knowing what I was getting into." Alejandro said as he looked back at me and gave me a tight smile.

"He's in a better state of mind but still wants revenge. He has his own family with his own son who's doing great in the industry as well."

"Did I ever see him ? The one that captured me ?" I asked as Alejandro shook his head. "He would only come when you were asleep sometimes to check if you were okay."

"And where do you come in all this that he wants to torture you as well ?"

"I let you escape and he took Camila with him, and he knows how in love you are with her. He knows you're willing to risk anything to go and meet him." Alejandro said as sighed and leaned back.
