Jillian and Niall: First Sight.

Niall:

Being a new boy at school sucks. Everyone else is so in touch with what they're doing. I'm the outsider, cold and not knowing a soul's name.

Oh good, I think I've found the Headmistress's office. It has a name plate on it. I knock, and slowly open it. The room's walls are painted murky grey, and there are plain curtains on the window. Papers are scattered everywhere. It looks like a prison office.

“Mr. Niall Horan?”

A cheery voice says. I jump, and notice the revolving chair turning around. Was this a St. Trinian's or something? The woman sitting in the chair had astonishingly bright red lipstick, and a pink pencil suit. Her hair wasn't in a bun, like a stereotypical teacher, but curled to perfection. Permed, I think it's called.

“Oh, this office is just for scare!” She chuckles. “I'm Delia, but you, sir, are obligated to call me Miss Hann. You will love it here. Ooh, a visitor.”

Miss Hann points to the door, which opened. A pretty girl and what looked like her brother step into the room, smiling politely at their headmistress.

“Hello, Laken siblings,” Miss Hann says, smiling with her lipstick coated mouth. “How do you do?”

“Fine, Miss Hann,” The Laken siblings chorus. “Madame La-Rouge says we have a new boy. Is this him?”

“Niall, these are Jillian and Keane Laken. Keane, you show him around. Jillian, get back to Madame La-Rouge. Bye now.”

Without another word, Miss Hann turned back to her computer. Keane rolled his eyes.

“What was your sister's name again?” I ask shyly, just as the bell rang. Students flood into the hallways, all rushing to separate lockers. Jillian seems to have a crowd of people around her, and the boys obviously love her.

“Her? Oh mate, Jill's popular. You haven't a hope.” He smirks.

“Name.” I say firmly.

“Jillian.” Keane responds, and shows me to their next class. It's Spanish. I thank God, as I'm a fluent Spanish speaker.

The teacher, Mr. Yo-something, sits me beside Jillian. She groans, and tugs at her hair.

“They moved me away from Clara. She was helping me with my homework. My grades are totally slipping.” She complains.

I make to say something, but Mr. Yo-something speaks to me.

“Where are you from? Answer in Spanish.”

Soy de Irlanda, Mullingar. Vivo en un buen pueblo con gente agradable,” I rattled off. Mr. Yo-something looks impressed. Jillian nudges my arm frantically.

“Niall! You're even better than Clara! Can you tutor me, pretty please?”

Close up, her eyes are really pretty, especially when they flutter like that.

Remember what Keane said? She's popular. You haven't a hope.

“Yeah. Y-yeah, sure,” I stammered. “When?”

“Tonight, my house. My parents are out, only Keane will be in. My parents can't know my Spanish is slipping. Thanks so much, Niall!”

“You're welcome...” I mumbled. Love at first sight? I never believed in that BS. Heck, now I do.

“So...I think I've got it. Hola, me llamo Jillian. No me gusta Espanol, y eres mi amigo, Niall.

I smiled.

“How do you say, I really really like you and want to go out with you?” She lowered her voice. I smiled, happily.

“You already said it.”
