"Why, Harry?" Draco whined, his heart drowning.
"I just think you won't like the people there, that's all." Harry explained, folding his arms.
"But...Why wouldn't you invite Pansy and I?" He begged, with his face hurt.

"Well, I mean... No offense, Draco but... I er I think you wouldn't participate!"
"I'll participate if you're there."

Harry looked at him with his bottom lip uncurled "well...um..."

Draco gave him the doggie eyes, Harry sighed "I'm sorry, Dray," Harry said, patting his head "that's my decision."

"Well, when are you going to have the party?" Draco asked.
"Maybe next month. Why?"

"Okay..." Draco mumbled.

*

His own boyfriend! Wouldn't invite him to his own party? WHY? 'Because you may not participate' what a dumb reason!
"What do you think about this, Pans?" Draco asked Pansy later that day.
"Um, I don't really c-care." she answered, "I'm not even thinking about going anyway. My family is usually busy."
Draco groaned, "he didn't invite me! Me! His boyfriend! Why? 'Because I might not participate!' I love him to death but- really?!"
"Draco calm down, it's just a party-"
"That's what you always say, Pansy." Draco moaned, plumping himself down on the green lounge.

"You're so- so- dramatic, Draco." Pansy sighed, shook her head and continued reading.

"Well why don't you care like me? Huh? Why?"
"Because I'm not in his friend group."
"You are his friend."
"Not a major friend, in the Golden Circle."
"Golden Circle?"
"Means the friends he constantly hangs out with like Hermione, Ron, Neville, Ginny, Luna and ____ you."

"Ha, ha," Draco said, rolling his eyes, "he barely hangs out with me anymore. He doesn't come to see me after Feasts like he use to."
"Maybe, he doesn't want to be your boyfriend anymore,"

Draco looked defeated "Draco...I didn't say it was going to be true!" Pansy urged.
"You're right Pansy, he's been avoiding me and____ he's been hanging out with Ron and Hermione more also...He's not owling me anymore."

"Talk to him. Tell Harry how you feel."
"Okay, I'll try."

After Potions, Draco tugged on Harry's robes "we need to talk." Draco said, pulling him into an almost empty hallway.
"So?" Harry asked.
"You've been avoiding me. Why? Is it because you don't like me anymore?"
Harry sighed "it's none of those things, Draco."
"Harry...Potter...Tell me the truth." He said sternly.
"I-"
"I said, tell me the truth!"
"Draco. It's difficult. I don't want you to get hurt by-those people I'm inviting."
"Oh, yeah? So who are you inviting then?"
"Some old friends of mine."
"And...? Anyone else?"
"That's it..."
"Why not ME?" Draco spat, "Out of EVERYONE you WOULDN'T invite you chose ME and PANSY?"
"Draco-"
"Explain to me when you have proper reasoning," Draco said, pushing past Harry.

He felt defeated. Lost. Like he was unwanted.
