We finally arrive at school. Of course, alarm bells ring in our heads when we see no one.
"Uh..." Confusion becomes apparent in my expression.
"Look" Clem points at the front gates. I can't distinguish what exactly the small plastic-covered white board reads but, the gates are clearly closed.
"Educated guess... There's no school. It says there won't be until after Christmas holidays. Heh. Closed early" Clem chuckles. We were just destined to meet.
"Do you live far?" I ask worriedly, afraid she won't be able to get back with the wind increasing and the temperature lowering.
"Silver Spoon st, 15. I just moved in"
Wait. Holy shit.
"Holy shit! You're my neighbour! I live in number 13! Literally next door. I don't go outside so I don't ever see new neighbours."
"Please don't be kidding!" She smiles widely.
"I'm home alone, let's binge watch movies!" I suggest.
"Sure! My... Parents are working late, as they do. I'll appreciate the company!"
Something is just off about the way she said parents, but I don't pay much attention to it. It still lingers in the back of my mind however. It's probably just me.
A/N- or is it
