A/N I guess I'm picking this story up again :)

Clem sits beside me as I turn on the tv, looking away from her. My eyes can't stay off her for too long though, as I look back at her every few seconds. She plays quietly with her long light brown hair, both of us too awkward to say anything at all; what even are you supposed to say when you meet your soulmate?? Agh I was never prepared for this. Just as the silence starts getting too eerie to bear, my brother walks in through the front door; making us jump.
"Hey Ame and uh..." David hesitates
"Clementine" Clem smiles cutely
"Clementine. Anyway, my school is closed down, took me almost fourty minutes to get here!" He frowns, looking up at me. David's an eighth grader, who I thought was already at school.
"...Sorry? I was busy meeting my soulmate here" I scoff, rolling my eyes at him.
"Your soulmate?" He looks confused for a second "Is Clem your soulmate!?" It finally clicks with him.
"Yeah, and if you don't miiiind, we are going to get to know each other now. Sooo" I signal upstairs to his room
"I'll go" he walks off with a grin.
I turn back and look at Clem, as if examining every feature of her face, the few freckles that are sprinkled across her face, her rosy cheeks, slightly tan skin.
"So, as it seems we can't find anything to watch, how about we play two truths and a lie" she suggests, putting her hair up into a messy bun.
"Sure, who goes first?"
"I'll go. Hmm... I'm Canadian..."
"Okay" I nod, indicating for her to go on
"I'm lactose intolerant and... I know how to do a back flip" She smiles
"I think the lie is... Okay, I don't think you can do a back flip"
"You are right"
"So you're Canadian and lactose intolerant, nice"
She nods "your turn Ame"
