Eren tried waking her up, but nothing worked. He shook her, he pulled off all of the blankets she had been occupying, but she still didn’t wake up. The worst part is that she was still crying right into his right arm. The one extreme thing that he noticed almost right away was that Crimsons’ tears were a deep red! They almost looked like blood. He really didn’t know what to do. She was crying blood and she wasn’t wake up. Eren thought she was dying! “Oh my god! Crimson please wake up! Don’t die!”Crimson responded with her tears turning back into real tears, waking up, and saying a few things. “Oh. Good morning Eren.”
“What the hell Crimson? I thought you had died! You were crying blood! I was about to call 911!” Eren yelled with tears running down his face.
“Oh. So you saw that? Crap. It was really nothing. I’m fine.”
“Well duh I saw that! You were lying right in my bed! And no you are not fine. Explain what that was right now!” Eren cried.
“Ok. Fine. Do you remember that time we were at the mall and I said that I wasn’t human and you thought you misheard me?” Crimson asked.
“Yeah I do. And I did mishear you, because you are human. Right?”
“No. I am an angel. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you before, but I was that scared you wouldn’t like me anymore. Please don’t hate me.” Crimson pleated as Eren pulled her into a big hug and replied, “I could never hate my Crim. And now that I found out that you are an angel, I want to know everything about you, even more so than before.”
“Oh. Well, at least you don’t hate me. Where should I start…”
After about an hour of talking, Eren had learned everything about angels, their culture, their lives, even about their wings and how they were very important to an angel, because when you get them, you are finally accepted and without them, or if they are different from your families’ wings, you will either die, be killed or you will be banished. He knows now why she had blood on her back. He was also very interested in angels. He had books on them, but nothing in them was really the truth. And now Eren knew the truth, and that made him very happy. “Wait. What about the whole crying blood thing? Is that even normal?” Eren asked.
“Well yes. It means that you’re family, or someone close, is calling you back home. You don’t have to answer it, and if you don’t, you will just cry blood or something. If I did open it, I would be tracked and brought back to heaven or even worse, I could be killed. That’s really what they do. They call them the 死のコール, Shi no kōru, meaning the call of death.”
“Jeez. Were you planning on opening at all?”
“No. I don’t want to go back home. Anyway, I can’t.” Crimson said slightly saddened.
“Why?” Eren questioned.
“Well, it all started when I got my wings a few minutes before I met you. They were supposed to be white and covered in small specks of red, but they were different. They were, well, the same as your drawing. Black and covered in spikes.”
“Wow! That’s amazing! I knew I knew you from somewhere, but I just couldn’t put my finger on it! You must be her!” He exclaimed as he pointed to the drawing and studied it hardly, looking at Crimson from time to time. “Yes! It has to be you! It’s a match!”
“How? I never remember visiting you in a dream. Maybe it was awhile ago and you just don’t remember it well, so you think it’s me.”
“No. It’s definitely you. Everything matches! Even the voice! You said it yourself. You have the same exact wings as her. Are you sure that you’re not the who’s being forgetful?” Eren accuses.
“I’ll look into it, but I’m not making any promises that that is me.” Crimson states as she reaches onto the back of her head and pulls out a small mechanic box type thing. When she opens it up, there is a long strip of paper that has names and dates on it. Next to the name, it said “Visited at ____” and such. She looked through it with a concentrated look. Searching very slowly. Finally after about three minutes of looking, she said something.
“What? How can this be?”
“What? What happened?” Eren questioned.
“Well, first off, this is my dream log. It’s logs all of the dreams I have traveled through since the beginning of me. Every angel gets one when they are created or found. They help us make sure that they haven’t gone rogue. A rogue angel goes into those dreams, and they trap the children in those dreams, and there, the rogue will kill those children’s souls so they are in a coma. Then they put those children under a spell to make them rogue. After the final visit, the child’s body will have died. They will then show up in the angel realm and try to destroy it. You are only allowed at most an hour in one dream and you may never revisit it. If they were rogue, they would need to revisit that dream at least five times for the spell to work. They check our logs every month.” Crimson explained. “And I just found your name Eren. I visited you three years ago. That means, I am her.”
“Really? Oh my god! This is amazing!” Eren exclaimed.
“No one can find out.” Crimson replied.
“Why? It’s not like the angels can find out, right?”
“Well, not necessarily. They can if they travel into your dream. They will see what you are dreaming, and if you were dreaming about me or this day, I will be killed.” Crimson commented.
“I swear I won’t. But ok. I won’t tell anyone. I don’t want you to die. I can’t lose you again. Not after I waited all of those nights to see you again, and how you never came back.” Eren cried out. He started to cry into his sleeve trying to hide his face. Crimson didn’t know what to do because she didn’t like to see him cry. She started to cry too after a short while. Now they were both sobbing at this point. Sometime after they started weeping, Crimson grabbed Eren’s arm and pulled him towards the door. “Look. I don't know how to deal with this whole thing, but I can tell you one thing, you are cuter when you smile.” Crimson said as they both walked out of Eren's house, him turning red, when he remembered what was happening, and he asked, “where are we going anyway?”
“We're going to see whether or not they are tracking me, because if they are, I'm already as good as dead.” She answered.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEAD? And who are they?” Eren yelled.
“The O.O.A. or, the Order Of Angels. They think that if an angel falls from the heavens and is helped by a human, they should be killed before they fully turn into a human. That’s really what happens to us, but since I am different from my family, they want to kill me even more now. If they put a tracker on out tracks, they are already close. The reason I wanted to leave your home was because I saw a tracker. I have to go somewhere to get it confused so I can destroy it.”
“What do they look like? Trackers I mean.”
“Well, they are very small red dots that float, and if they reach the person or persons that they were looking for, if the person who sent them have them permission, they can kill them, but most of the time, the trackers just return the angel back to their home. I can tell that it doesn’t want to just capture me. Only angels can see them.” Crimson explained.
“Well did you see one?” Eren asked worried.
“Yes, and it’s coming this way! Come on!” Crimson whispered as she once again grabbed his arm and pulled him across the road to a deep rocky ditch. “Here.” She pointed out a small crater in the rocks where they could take shelter.
“But can’t the thing still se-” He was cut off by Crimsons’ hand covering his mouth. “Shhh.” Crimson whispered.
The silence was terrifying to Erenand Crimson alike. Both of them just sat there, waiting for anything. A sound. A movement. Anything to reassure their safety. But nothing happened. Up until Crimson screamed.
