Scott and Vincent walked in through the doors. Scott had forced Vincent awake and told him that they had to be there at least an hour before the shift started. Vincent argued, but stopped after Scott gave him toast with strawberry maple syrup jam. Vincent had tried it and enjoyed it as much as Scott had. Possibly even more.
They went into the security office. Scott went around checking to make sure that everything was in order. Vincent was looking at the stuff on the desk. He then looked at the drawings and gasped.
He pointed to a picture. "Scott, look."
Scott came over to look at the picture that Vincent was pointing to. It was a drawing of a golden Bonnie with a guitar. "What's that? It doesn't look like one of our animatronics."
"It's one for Freddy's Family Diner. He's known as Spring Bonnie. I guess they thought it was an animatronic from here and they kept it up.
"What's so special about that picture?" Scott asked, looking to make sure everything was in check.
"I drew it." Vincent said.
Scott stopped and went to look back at the picture. "Why did you draw Spring Bonnie? He's from the other place."
"I liked the other pizzeria. I worked there, you know? My dad also worked at the other place before me."
Scott looked at Vincent. "So then why are you working here?"
"Well, The Boss forced me to work here-"
"No. I mean before. I saw you working here before you were arrested, or whatever."
Vincent tried to remember seeing Scott before, but he couldn't remember Scott.
He then just decided to answer the question. "My dad quit the job after something happened to my sister. We didn't go back there ever again, but I needed a job. I decided that it was better working here than back there."
Scott thought for a moment. "But why did you come back to this company?"
Vincent shrugged. Just then, they heard the front door open and they heard two pairs of footsteps going to the security office.
"It's probably Mike and Jeremy." Vincent said.
Sure enough, Mike and Jeremy walked in the room.
"Oh, did we walk into you lovebirds?" Mike asked teasingly.
Vincent sneered. "No, I think we're bothering you two."
Mike rolled his eyes. Jeremy sat on the bench and got ready for the night. Scott stood behind the bench. Mike went to the left door and Vincent went to the right door. They stood waiting for the clock to strike 12 am and for their shift to start.
Just then, they heard footsteps coming to the office. Mike and Vincent automatically backed away from the doors.
They all waited and from the right door, The Boss poked his head in.
"'ey!" He greeted. "So, I saw th' fan not 'orking. I pu 'nother fan th'll be permanent. Ju's wan'ed to let 'ou know." He walked out of the office and out of the pizzeria.
They all stared at the fan. The fan was spinning, but there was no cord attached to it. Scott tried to find a way to turn it off, but the fan was stuck on the desk.
He stood up and said, "The power will drain faster because of the fan."
"It's like he wants us to die!" Jeremy wailed.
"It's alright." Scott said. "We just have to be more careful and we will survive the night."
They all nodded. The clock struck 12 am and their shift began. They all went back to their positions and prepared for the night.
