Mike gently placed Stephanie on the couch of his living room. Jeremy had an arm under Vincent and led him into the room and led him to different couch. Vincent fell onto the couch and instantly fell asleep.
"The yelling and crying probably tired him out." Jeremy said.
"Yea." Mike said. Then he looked over at Stephanie. Jeremy followed his gaze.
"Is she still a ghost?" Jeremy asked.
"No, I don't think so. I was able to carry her and I think she would just pass through me if she was a ghost. And also, I don't think ghosts sleep." Mike said.
Jeremy nodded. "Then what happened?"
"Maybe this is her twin that happened to be there looking for her sister's ghost but fell asleep?" Mike guessed.
"Well, she didn't mention that she had a sister in her backstory." Jeremy said. "I don't think that's the case."
Mike nodded. He was pretty sure that Stephanie was an only child.
"Well anyway," Jeremy said. "We have to do something. We should call The Boss or the police or someone."
"No. We can't do that." Mike said. "I don't think anyone knows she is, or was, a ghost. And they might take her somewhere and we need her to help all the other dead children's ghosts."
Jeremy nodded, and then yawned. "I'm tired. A lot happened today."
Mike nodded. "I think we all are."
Mike flopped onto an unoccupied couch and turned over onto his back. Jeremy came and lay next to him. Mike put an arm around him.
They lay there is silence, both looking up at the ceiling, not able to go to sleep after the occurrences at the pizzeria. After some time, Jeremy spoke softly. "Mike?"
"Hmm?" Mike asked sleepily.
"I feel bad for Vincent."
Mike wrapped his arms tighter around Jeremy. "Yea."
He DID feel bad for Vincent, but his thoughts were filled with Jeremy being taken away from him and having a cruel, painful death. He shuddered at the thought and held onto Jeremy as if he were his life.
