Chapter 1: Life as normal

"ugh! Not again please I don't need to hear this again!" yelled Alex, from the kitchen, hoping her mum would stop nagging about how messy she was.

" Alex, do you know how lazy and incompetent you are! What work- no I mean what USEFUL work have you done today, huh!" said Alex's mum, emphasising on the useful.

Alex was 13 year old, a very normal 13 year old, she lived in Kent with her mum ( who was divorced)and her twin brothers, Josh and Jake, also her grandma- who she loved the most. As usual Alex and her mum where fighting over dirty clothes and muddy trainers, it was a daily routine, every day Alex would come home and chuck her clothes and bags on the floor and run into the kitchen to find something to eat; when her mum came in from her stressful day at work she had to deal with the twins, let alone Alex.

" please, not today, I have homework to do and I'm going to Jessica's to go to Anne's to go to this cool mall, down town."Begged Alex as she couldn't take another rain check with her friends. Jessica was Alex's best friend they told each other everything, when Alex was upset over something ( her mum ) she told Jessica who made Alex better. Just then Alex's grandma came down the stairs.

" Blimey!Why do you have to shout so much, Linda. Leave her alone, honey can you get me my medicines please. Josh is crying, I think jake and him had a fight!" Moaned Alex's grandma. Alex's grandma always got mixed up with Josh and Jake so Alex probably thought her gran was wrong, so as Alex gave her grandma her pills and a cold and refreshing glass of water, she ran up stairs to see what josh and jake were doing.

" AHHHH! Leave me alone Josh!" Screeched Jake, while crying. They were a pair of very annoying 6 year olds. Best of friend but the worst of enemies, says Alex.

" Ahh.. Cry baby!" Mocked Jake as he pulled Josh's hair ruthlessly, but as soon as Alex walk in he smiled sheepishly.

" What do you think your doing to him! Leave him now and go and do homework or something." Commanded Alex. Jake made a face, but obediently he did as he was told and as soon as he left Josh came and gave Alex a massive hug.

" Thank you. You know I'm not that scared of him anyway, I would've got him back if you hadn't come in." Josh told Alex as Alex tried to get free from his hug.

" Sure you would've Josh, now can I go?" Asked Alex, as Josh let go,Alex went to her bedroom and locked the door.

" Let's see, um, polka dress... No too cold! Uh jeans, yes.. With.. With uh hah! My red top, ugh, no white... No too risky! Oh oh my off white lace top yes yes!" Said Alex, trying to find her perfect outfit, as she put her clothes on; a bit of pink lip gloss and ran down stairs.

" Bye boys, bye gran! Oh and bye mum!" Shouted Alex as she put her shoes on and took her small brown side bag which had a couple of pounds in it.

" Wait where are you going?" Inquired her Mum.

" With my friends then the mall, I told you?!" Said Alex

" Your bags are still here and so are your trainers... So this means your not going-" it was too late Alex was out of the door before her mum could finish.
