Chapter 5: the stories
Alex elegantly walked down the stairs, wearing a large brown gown, which weighed a tonne. She came and sat down on a chair, the stood up again, then tried standing in a casual way!
"Dinner is served you can come and sit down now, no need to be shy Madame." Said Beth politely, while Alex nodded and sat down obediently. Then Alex heard someone scream... Then someone else ..... Then another....
"Give it back now, Simon I mean it! Now!" Screamed a girl.
" I just want to experiment, Elisa, stop.. Ouch.... Bert help!!" Yelled Simon.
"Oh be quiet... Food haha... Nom nom, quickly!" Said Bert almost drolling. They all ran for the table and sat down staring curiously at Alex
" who is she? Do you want me to take out my self defence weapons?" Asked Elisa, smiling back at Alex. While Alex smiled back awkwardly...
"Wait you have....WEAPONS! Okay, um, here's your doll... Clean and tidy. I will just be..moving..BERT MOVE." Said Simon. While he pushed Bert away and say down.
"That trick always works.Anyway, hello I'm Elisa and this is Simon and that is Bert- Bert manners.." Said Elisa and Bert smiled back.
"Erm.... I'm.alex.and.im.your.nanny.new.nanny.." Said Alex, giving long pauses in the middle.
" okay- we aren't babies were quite mature.. Were triplets. IM the oldest!" Boasted Simon.Then someone walked in, someone who sounded familiar.
" good afternoon, everyone, oh. Meet our newest guest.... Alexandra." Said Edward while smiling, he reminded her of her dad for some reason! There was less conversation at the dinner table and the duke didn't seem to say much..
" Hello Alex, come sit.. let me tell you a story from a long time ago... well maybe a few years but.. anyway rhe story is that when edward was a little bot hs mum died and when I will die he will be the heir to my throne , alas there was a twist to our story as my evil brother tried to take the throne by first acted nicely then, one day when baby Edward was having a bath, he came and drowned him.. luckily i came at the right time and vanquished him." whispered the Duke, but Alex had other things on her mind.
" I have told you this because I want you to stay away from that nasty man. He is bad news. Oh wow look at the time flying by.. Good night Alexandra.
Alex was so tired , she felt the weight being pushed down, and down, , when Alex sat down on her bed it was like someone was pulling her down - probably the tiredness- then she put her head on the soft , cosy and relaxing pillow and sunk right in.
