'What? You...You can't be serious can you?'

'Well why not. You know how to, so does mum, dad, and everyone else'

'Yes but Jackson, we're adults. A gun can be a scary thing for you'

He looks down. Sigh. Great now he's upset.

'Hey, hows' about you go find Shane and talk to him about catching frogs? I'll talk to mum and dad about teaching you how to shoot?' He jumps up and hugs me before running off to find Shane. I walk out the tent and spot my mum and dad sitting up on top of the rv with Dale

'Hey mum dad! Can I talk to you for a minute' They climb down from the RV and walk over to me

'Whats up?' My dad asks me.

'Jackson wants to learn how to shoot a gun,' They look at me shocked 'I know, I know, but thinking about it, it's not a bad idea'

'How is that not a bad idea?! He's a child' My mum says franctically. Oh god here we go again.

'Mum if you treat him like a child, he will die a child. It's a skill he's gonna have to learn whether you two like it or not' My mum scoffs before getting up and walking away. I look to my dad and he just shakes his head and walks away. Sigh. 

I look up and see Dale, he gives me a small smile after hearing mine and my parents conversation. He climbs down and walks over to me

'Hey Lizzy, everything okay?' 

'I'm good Dale don't worry. Hey have you seen Jackson?' 

'He's down by the river with Carl and Shane' I look over to the river and see the other girls, Shane, Carl and Jackson. I notice that the boys are messing about in the water, splashing and having fun. I smile at the sight and go to walk down when Lori asks Dale where Carl is,

'He's down here Lori, with Shane and Jackson' She looks up at me shocked and rushes down to her son. I follow behind her and realise that Shanes teaching them how to catch frogs,

'Hey Lori, whats the matter? They're just catching frogs.'

'I...I just need to talk to Carl about something' She seems off with me, and it seems like theres somerhing shes not telling me.

'Is it Shane?' she stops and looks back at me,

'What?'

'Has Shane done anything?'

'No...no hes not... I just told Carl to stay in Dales sight and he didn't listen' She walks over to the boys and decide to leave it so I walk over to the girls and see that theyre doing the washing.

'Hey Lizzy'

'Hi Amy. Do you guys want any help?' Carol hands me a washboard and a basket of clothes so I begin to wash them. I feel uneasy, like someones watching us. I turn around and see Ed staring at us while we do the washing. I turn back to do the washing and look up to see Shane and Jackson splashing about in the water. Lori must have took Carl back to camp. Shane looks over and smiles at me, I return the smile and get back to work. while were all talking, we discuss things we miss,

'I miss my coffee maker' Jacqui says, day dreaming now about some coffee,

'I miss my computer, and texting' Amy, Amy, Amy. I laugh. Theres a little moment of silence before Adrea says,

'I miss my vibrator' We all look at her and begin laghing,

'Y'know what? me too' I say and that makes everyone laugh some more. Carol looks back,

'Me too' Then we all start laughing before Ed ruins it,

'What's so funny?' We all stop laughing so I turn around,

'Just joking around' I turn back to the washing and roll my eyes. How can Carol put up with him? Ed walks over to where he's right behind us.

'Problem Ed?' Andrea asks him,

'None that concerns you' she rolls her eyes and turns back around.

'You ougta focus on your work. This aint no comedy club' Andrea scoff and so do I. How dare he, who the hell does he think he is. I bite my tongue for Carols sake. I hear footsteps behind us and look back to see Shane staring over at us. 

'Hey little missy you get on with the work too' Ed tells me as he kicked dirt onto me. That's it. 

'You know what Ed, why don't you do this yourself if you have a probem' I say throwing his shirt at him. He grabs it and throws it back at me causing everyone else to stand up beside me. 

'Aint my job missy' I sscoff at his words.

'So what is your job Ed? hmm? sit around on your lazy ass doing nothing? Or is it hitting your wife and child?' 

'Come on lets go.' he tells Carol, just as she's getting up Andrea hold her arm up to stop Carol,

'I don't think she has to go anywhere Ed' Ed looks at Andrea and walks up in her face,

'Hey don't think I wont knock you on your ass' Andrea look at Ed and Ed grabs Carols arm so I go to grab his arm and pull him away from her but he turns to me and slaps me across my face. Andrea, Jacqui and Amy shout and push Ed backwards, but not before he gets a hit on Carol as well, and then a second time on me, knocking me to the ground. Shane comes up and drags Ed away and begins punching him multiple times. Andrea and Carol shout for him to stop but he doesn't. Jacqui comes up and helps me off the floor. Shane stops punching Ed, says something to him and gets up, but not before hitting him one last time. He looks over to me and walks away. Carol's now over Ed, crying while he coughs up his own blood. That bastard deserved everything he got.
