         "There's an ocean
           inside of me.
           Put your ear against
           my chest and listen,
           it rages for you."
"Johnny Nguyen wrote that one. Isn't it beautiful?," I asked Cali. "Yeah. It is." "How can you help? All you've done is cause my sibling trouble!" "I can heal using elements. I noticed there's a lot of water here, which will be perfect. Can you bring me some?," Camdon politely asked. "And what will you do with it?," Cali joined my brother's side. "I'll dump it on her and heal her." A tap on the window told me it was raining outside. Even from this building I could hear the roaring waves. The ocean was angry.

"Absolutely not. You will not do that to my sister." "You want her to heal, don't you?" I heard Cass click his tongue. I wailed as the pain intensified. "Okay. We'll-" "No," I croaked out. Camdon walked over to me. He towered above me. "You don't want to be healed?" "No. Just. Leave me here." "Serena, we have to." "He can't. Find out." "If it's to save you, we damn sure will do it. Caliouse, get a glass of water." I heard shuffling, then the faucet. Water was filled in a cup. "No! I beg you! No!" Hail pounded against the door. The wind chimes out in the front violently clanged against itself.

My hatred for humans threatened to resurface. I can't. No. Camdon stood over me, glass in hand. "I will start." He poured the water on me, and he started muttering some enchantments or something. I couldn't tell if my tail came out or not. I screamed as the pain intensified once more, then died down. I heavily breathed as I felt much better. I could move again. I sat up and hugged myself. Camdon stared at me in awe and horror.

"You're...a mermaid."
