The Accidental Failed Date

Chapter Eight Part Two

After practice at Austin's house. Its a Thursday, around 9:30 pm.

I'm going to fucking kill him! He stole my phone again! That's probably why she was like ignoring me. Well I should do something to apologize. But not like a traditional apology like a date to make up for it. Like a special one at her favorite place and food and her favorite day like Friday!

It should be at the Treek! She would love that. Shes been trying to get me to go there for like forever, she would love it, and even better me! Okay it should be not on Monday no one liked Monday and especially Luna she hates Mondays. Well not Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday that's Lacross and Luna day. She does something and says nothing but will never hang out on Wednesday. Of course Friday, it's the only one that fits our schedules and she loves Fridays. Except from like 4-6:30 she has more Luna not Luna and Austin time. Okay so this Friday @ The Treek, @ 7:00. It's a date.

I wonder if he told her while they were texting why my phone was taken away. Then she would probably kill me. I mean bad grades are one thing getting nearly suspended from the chamber is a total different situation. However I think that was pretty funny. Okay going to the Academy of Wizardry and humping every tree you see is pretty funny. Then to finish it off by turning the instructor into emo teenager is pretty funny too.

Okay maybe not to the instructor and my teacher but to everyone else it was hilarious.

Back to the date. Okay I want it to be a surprise. So I get there and then I call her and tell her to meet me at the baseball field. Right in front of the creek. Then I'll blind fold her and bridal style I'll carry her to the Treek. Austin your a GENIUS!!!! Wow that's a first. We sit on top of the tree and have a picnic. Then if she wants go down by the creek. Okay all I got to do is not screw this up like all the other things I do in life. Okay I can do this don't send anything don't say anything don't do anything. Got it, do nothing. I can handle that.

At Luna's house same time as Austin.

"Luna honey, there's a letter for you, come down and get it.'

"I'm coming Marcy."

"Here it's from Mr. Claringten. It's probably about your summer job."

"Which one?"

"The one down by the baseball field in front of the old creek."

"Oh yea stats keeper and manager of the little league baseball games. I don't even know why I signed up for the job. I mean you just sit there marking tally marks by players names. And hand out water bottles and bats and crap."

"Well it does pay good that's what I remember sealed you on the job. You said that if it wasn't for the pay you wouldn't be interested."

"Oh yea I remember now. Good pay for a easy crappy job that requires no academic ability at all. Sounds great."

"Don't be so hard on yourself all the time Luna."

"I just am."

I hit myself.

"See."

"Very funny Lu now will you open the dang letter already!"

"Okay okay I'm opening right..... now."

"What does it say?"

"It says that I would suit the job just fine but need a partner to share the job with or double work but same pay."

"So who is it? Is it Violet?"

"No she already had a job. The lifeguard at the neighborhood pool."

Well I should get back to work, thxs for letter."
