No.
No.
I couldn't have killed him, he had to be alive. His body collided loudly onto the ground. My knees falling to the tile as I removed the stake from his caving chest.
My hands firmly yet unsteadily pressed on the wound allowing dark satin blood to run through my finger tips. Sticky, and icy cold. I pulled them away viewing front to back. A cry escaped my mouth as I put them back in place. I hadn't noticed the door opened until hands tugged on my torso ushering me up and backwards from the scene.
I yanked but remained pressed up against a chest. "Celia! Celia look at me!" My body was quickly turned around as large hands tugged on my shoulders. Harry pressed his hands on both sides of my cheeks forcing me to look into his green iris'
"Celia-"
"I'm a-a murder"
Harry broke eye contact looking to Zayn for help. They both spoke no words, but wore the same look of uncertainty. "Get her out of here." Zayn finally nodded in conclusion "She won't listen to any of us"
Harry agreed pressing his hand on my lower back and the other on my upper arm. Changing our direction to the front door. Blood stained my skin, spreading off onto Harry's within our collision but he didn't care.
Sobs left my lips, as my throat choked back tears. Scraping my vocal chords and bruising my tongue.
I never wanted to hurt anyone.
-
Harry dragged us both into the back of a hotel through a hidden door luckily no one being in company to spot the horrid scene. We reached the third floor and stopped abruptly at a door numbered #202.
As we entered Harry led us into the bathroom. Turning on the faucet and grabbing my hands to place them under the warm water. A moan hummed in the deepness of my throat at the sight of the blood washing away and changing the water's substance. Harry noticed "don't look" he commenced scraping my hands clean.
I nodded at his suggestion turning my head, squeezing my eyes shut tightly and causing even more tears to force themselves out upon my cheeks.
Once Harry was finished he dried my hands with a towel. I continued to keep my eyes shut incase any blood was left evident. Cold fingertips ran under the soft material of my shirt. Leaving goosebumps on my skin and a shiver to run down my spine. Pushing them away I widened my eyes at Harry.
"Relax" he breathed gesturing towards the shower. "I was going to-" "I can do it myself" my raspy voice interjected. "I was just trying to help" Harry sighed rubbing his temples, aggravated at the mess I was. "I'll be outside the door"
I furrowed my eyebrows as he handed me a cream colored towel.
"Don't do anything stupid"
Keeping my head straight and my eyes drawn on one particular spot in the wall of the shower wasn't an impossible request to favor. But keeping the tears away was.
I killed somebody. I took away a soul.
"Elliot didn't have a soul"
Harry stated behind the door raising his voice slightly over the steaming water . He was reading my thoughts...
I turned the lever off and wrapped the towel around my chest. Stepping out into the chilly apartment. Harry must have been staying here this whole time.
Keeping my head low I drifted in the door way. "Here" Harry said handing me a white silk night gown. "I borrowed it" "borrowed it...or stole it?"
"I'm sure Miss Baily won't mind" he smirked trying to lighten the mood. I hastily took the item from his grasp and changed into it in the bathroom.
-
My eyes met Harry as his body rested on a king sized bed. His head was propped up on a couple of pillows and his lean legs were crossed. He patted the space beside him and I followed.
We both starred at the blank ceiling, not bothering to speak up for several seconds until Harry decided it was time
"I could make you forget you know
Not only tonight, but meeting me in the first place"
"You would do that for me?"
Harry's green eyes met mine as he shifted his weight and used one arm to prop himself upwards. His face showed sadness, and vulnerability. Just speaking the words seemed to sting.
"If that's what you wanted.
I've caused you emence sorrow because of my own selfishness"
By now we were both crying starring into each other's red distraught eyes and biting our lips to prevent our chins from wobbling or whimpers to escape our mouths.
"No"
"You deserve better than me"
"Who? Who could possibly take your place."
"Anyone"
"Harry-"
"Stop Celia, you know it's true"
"Okay maybe it is, but it's not what I want"
"Look what I've made you do, I can't watch you hurt this way"
"You never made me do anything, I'm the one who killed Elliot"
"Do you know how many people I've hurt Celia? How many people I've killed? If you stayed with me there'd be plenty more"
"Stop it! You're wrong!"
"Am I? I need blood to live Celia, it's a part of my kind and you've seen what yours does to me"
"You can control it"
"If I could it would have been by now. Every time I'm with you it's the only think I think about. I can hear it pumping your heart, coursing through your veins. I can imagine tasting it and draining your body dry. You want to be with a monster like me?"
"Yes! I-I love you"
Harry's face softened almost looking defeated. He gave a soft smile and slowly inched his way on top of me. His cold body hovering above mine as he leaned down to tuck a strand of hair behind my cheek. "I love you too" his cool breathe whispered into my ear. "That's why-" he pulled away locking eyes with my own "Your going to forget everything"
Maybe if there's another world, an after life, heck reincarnation I don't know, but for now. It's goodbye"
