as minjee turned to see who said, she saw her enemy, the person she hated from the start, the person who broke her heart and is still breaking it.

"mark? when did you get here?" she asked, not caring about the luggage the boy was struggling with.

"i got here the moment i texted you," he replied. mark was still tired from his flight and thought of seeing the person he loved so much before he heads back home.

"it's almost 3 am, go back home now. i'll see you in school," and with that, minjee walked back to her house without leaving a hug or even a goodnight.

mark, disappointed, was feeling a little less tired because of minjee. the boy continued to walk in the dark streets until he gets to his home.

the morning came and minjee got up to get dressed for a meet with jaehyun. the girl, having no interest for jaehyun, only thought it was a meet when it was actually considered a date for the other.

jaehyun, excited for his date with minjee, arrived at the small cafe 30 minutes earlier than the time they agreed on.

minjee arrived at exactly 10, jaehyun amazed at how he was actually on a date with her. it still did not sink to him that this girl still has feelings for mark, one of his closest friends.

"goodmorning, minjee. do you want to order something? coffee, frappe? i'll order it for you." jaehyun offered, making sure he treats this girl right.

"no thanks," she smiled "i palpitate when i drink coffee."

jaehyun pouted, "have you had your breakfast already? it's not good if my date didn't."

minjee was shocked at the older's words, "date? i'm very sorry, i was not informed this would be considered a date. if i knew, i would have kindly declined. you see, i'm not yet interested on dating,"

"ah, i should be sorry. i considered this a date without your consent. if you're not ready to date someone else, i'll wait."

"no i'm sorry, don't you see it? if i date you, you'll only be a rebound." minjee told jaehyun.

"it's okay, minjee. you'll move on quicker if you date someone. me, for example." the girl was now annoyed, for he did not get that she can never get over mark. months after ths break up and she still has feelings towards her ex.

"i'm sorry, jaehyun oppa. it's not because you're my best friend's brother that i can't break your heart. it's just i don't want to date anyone else now. and i'm not planning to date someone else." minjee said and bowed to jaehyun before grabbing her bag and leaving the small cafe.

jaehyun thought it was dumb. he thinks he was dumb for not telling minjee that he considered it a date. he thinks it was dumb of minjee to still have feelings towards mark, who obviously was not into commitment unlike him.
