Agnes sat next to her brown dog, Gromit, at 2:53am. She were to awaken at 7:30am to go to school, but she didn't want to go to school, mainly because of the fact that she would sit alone for the majority of the seven hours that she was at school. As well as this, she was looked upon as an outsider. Every other year 7 student had a friend group, ranging from 3-25 kids. It was normal for students to have a social life, yet, Agnes has no friends what so ever, apart from her pet dog Gromit, her father's girlfriend and her father. She was more acquainted with her Visual arts teacher then the students in her usual classes.
She wasn't the type to make conversation with people her age, about subjects that people her age would converse about. She would prefer to talk with adults and year 12 students about Pi, the history of the China's first emperor or the arts. Not many year 7 students would take a liking to any of Agnes's subjects of interest, and even if some did, they wouldn't seem to start a conversations with her.
