It's already past 10 pm and I still cant sleep. Sitting on my bed, I watch the moon and all the stars around it through my window.

"Been a long time I haven't seen this scenery."

A knock on my door snap me back to reality.

"(F/N), have you sleep yet.??" said a voice.

"The door is not lock, come in." I reply.

The door opens and revile the one who knock it.

"Ouh. It's you, Miku. You need anything.??" I ask.

"Nothing. Just wanna spent some time since I can't sleep." Miku ask.

"Why not spend it with the others.??" I ask again.

"The other have already sleep. Except for Layla. I think she's in the training ground right now." Miku reply.

I stand up and pick up my weapons.

"Where are you going.??" Miku ask with confusions on her mind.

"Let have some night training." I reply.

Miku just nod and went back to her room to get her weapons. I decided to wait for her at the main entrance of the office. I look around and find out that our base, is actually near the sea with a dockyard being a part of our base as well.

"I'm ready to go." said Miku as she run down the stairs.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna left you behind." I said.

"Who...knows...that...you...might...left...me...behind.." said Miku as she try to catch her breath.

"Alright Colonel. Let walk slowly to the training ground for you to catch your breath." I said.

Miku just nod and begin to walk. I just follow her from behind since I'm not that accustomed to the place.

-several minutes later-

Both of us arrived at the training ground. The moonlight shines down and lid up the training ground. Both of us can clearly see Layla who is doing some target practice with her uniquely design rifle.

"Hey there, Layla." said Miku as the two of us approach her.

Layla stop firing her rifle before turning around towards Miku and give a salute.

"No need for it Layla." said Miku.

Layla pull her hand back and start shooting again.

"So, Layla. How long have you been here.??" I ask.

Layla just show me 3 fingers. Which means she have been here for 3 hours. I just simply nod and load my gun.

"Hold on. Where's my target.??" I ask.

"Go put it up yourself." said Miku.

"I don't know how or where." I state.

"Alright. I'll do it." said Miku as she jumps into the shooting range.

At the same time, Layla stop shooting her gun. Miku went into a room behind the targets.

"Hey (F/N). What kind of target that you want.??" Miku shouted from the room.

" The same one as you guys." I shouted back.

Miku come out from the room with a roll of paper in her hand.

"How bout this.??" Miku ask as she begins to unroll the paper.

It was a pic of a helpless guy.

"It's perfect for a person like you" said Miku.

"Look. It's already in the past." I said.

"Tell that to the ones that you've killed. Or should I say, hundreds." said Miku.

Without hesitation, I shoot my gun straight to the head of the target, Making Miku stunned for a while.

"Just like you heard about me in the news. I kill woman and child. Friends and foe. Old and young. So I won't hesitate if my target is you, Miku." I said before leaving the shooting range.

-(Miku's POV)-

I was stunned after he shoot his rifle. The head of the target was few inches away from my hand. I can clearly see him as he walk away from the shooting range.

"Are you alright, Colonel." says the silent Layla with her hand on my shoulder.

I snap out from the shock and look up to Layla.

"Yeah. Kinnda." I reply.

I try to stand up but found myself sitting back to earth. Layla manage to catch me before I fall completely. My body was trembling with fear. knowing that he can actually kill me without hesitation.

"Come on Colonel, I'll carry you back to your room." said Layla.

Layla put my hand around her shoulder and carry me back to my room. On our way to the room, I manage to catch a glace at (F/N) who is sitting at one of the pier. Layla know about it and stop for a while.

"It would be better if you leave him alone after what you have done." said Layla.

I nod for agreement and Layla continue to carry me back to my room.

-(Reader's POV)-

Sitting on of of the pier, looking at the moon and stars relly calm me down. Wasn't sure what happened, my mind is still in complete mess. Several minutes later, Layla approach me.

"I thought you already head back to your room." said Layla.

"And here I thought you are a silent one." I reply.

"I'll talk when I want and silent when I need." said Layla as she sit down next to me.

"So, how is she.??" I ask.

"Fine. She still in a shock even after I've send her to her room." Layla reply.

I continue back staring at the moon. An awkward silence between the two of us can be feel in the air.

"Want to tell me what's on your mind.??" Lalya ask.

"I know that she's angry for what I've done. But I guess she doesn't deserve to punish me just because of the tales that she been hearing. She should know me better than anyone else in the world." I reply.

"And why is that.??" Layla ask.

"Because..." I reply but not finishing my words.

"Just keep that in your mind." said Layla.

I just stay silent.

"I'm gonna head back to my room. Don't stay up to late. We got an operation tomorrow." said Layla.

Layla left me alone with the words that I wanna say still playing in my mind like a broken record.

"Because... She's the only one I have in this world."
