As soon as Paul stormed out, I jerked my hand away from Markus's and ran after him. I managed to catch up with him at his car.

"Paul wait!"

He turned to me, furious.

"Wait for what Elizabeth? For you to go back to my brother!?" He shouted.

"Why does that even matter Paul?" I yelled back.

"You know why!"

"No I don't Paul! Please tell me." I whispered.

He placed his hands on my cheek and stared into my eyes.

"Why did you come here today?"

"To see you." I answered immediately.

"Than you know why." He said simply.

The two of us stood there looking at each other silently. Staring into his eyes made me feel like I could see into his soul. I was so confused and my heart was beating so loud, he could probably hear it. Then Markus came.

"What the hell?" He screamed.

Paul's eyes hardened at the sound of his brother's voice. He stepped away from me, leaving me cold and alone.

"What Mark?" He snapped.

"What is this?"

"I don't know, Elizabeth. What is this?" Paul's eyes were locked on me.

"I don't know." I whispered pitifully.

"Well when you do, let me know."

And then he was gone.

I felt Markus walk over to me but I didn't turn to him. Instead, I stared in the direction Paul's car, even though it was already out of sight.

"Lizzie, Baby I'm sorry about all of that. You probably didn't come here for all of that drama... In fact Lizzie, why did you come? Not that I'm not happy you're here."

I flinched away from him when his arms slipped around my waist. He shot me a puzzled look before his stare got cold.

"You were here for him weren't you?"

I shifted my gazed away from him so he wouldn't see the truth in my eyes. I felt his firm grip on my chin tighten before forcing me to look at him. "Weren't you?"

I jerked my face from his hands and sneered.

"Don't touch me." I hissed with so much venom, it shocked me as well. "You lost that privilege."

He stared at me with surprised eyes unsure of what to do. I then got into my car and drove home. By the time I made it to my apartment, a Storm had grown outside. Once I got inside, I pressed my back against the door and closed my eyes. I needed to breath. Everything was spiraling out of control and I could've sworn the room was spinning. I sprinted to the bathroom and got sick before collapsing on the floor. I guess fatigue caught up with me.

I must have passed out because when I awoke, I was in my bed. I wondered how I got there but when I realized the was someone lying down next to me, I prepared to scream.

"Hey now. Shhh relax. It's just me." A soothing, masculine whispered found my ears.

"Paul?" I croaked."
