“Mr. Kwon?” his assistant knocked from outside his office.

He raised his head from the piles of papers he was working on since this morning. “Come in.” he said and his assistant came in with his schedule book on her hand.

“Mr. Kwon, I’m here to remind you of the meeting with Ms. Ahn today. That would be exactly fifteen minutes from now.”

“Oh…yeah…I totally forgot. Is she here already?” he asked, getting up from his brown leather swivel chair.

“Yes, Mr. Kwon. She’s in the meeting room five minutes ago.”

“Tell her, I’ll be there in a minute.” His assistant nodded and quickly exited from his office.

Damn! How could he forget about this big meeting? Jiyong knew that he should not blow this deal off. And if he did, it will surely affect the upcoming expansion of Kwon Enterprise around Asia and Europe. Together with one of the biggest company not only in Korea but also around Asia, The Ahn Prime Holdings, Kwon Enterprise will be ensured as one or top company in Asia.

Jiyong gathered his belongings and slipped on his coat, “Show time, Kwon.” He muttered to himself, hoping things will go smoothly in accord with his plans.

--

Jiyong heaved out a sigh. This is it. Win this, Jiyong. He mentally encouraged himself.

He knocked first then entered the meeting room where he supposed Ms. Ahn is waiting, “I’m sorry, I kept you waiting.”

Jiyong froze in his spot upon seeing a lady standing before him, clad in a body-hugging black short dress paired with what he supposed to be a Louboutin black pumps. She looks elegant, very attractive. He was relieved to see that Ms. Ahn wasn’t the ill-tempered-old-maid-cat-loving business woman he made up in his mind a while ago. But heck, she is young. Maybe just the same-aged with him.

“No worries, I haven’t been here long.” She smiled as she extended her hand out to Jiyong. “Ahn Sohee. The COO and heiress of Ahn Prime Holdings.”

“Kwon Jiyong. CEO of Kwon Enterprise.” And he took her hand and shook it. “Nice meeting you.”

“It’s a pleasure.” And Sohee flashed her infamous smile. That kind of smile that makes the male population’s heart drop. That smile with a hidden carnal desire.

Sohee noticed his striking looks on first glance. His dark eyes that looked so determined. His lean but muscular body that she guess he takes care with frequent visits to the gym. And his lips—that lips of cherry color that looks utterly delicious.

“So shall we get started?” Jiyong spoke which snapped her out of reverie. As the gentleman Jiyong is, he ushered her to take a seat opposite to him. “Let’s get to the business then.”

“So…” Sohee started at once when Jiyong was seated on his own seat. He looked at her. Her lips twitched in delight as she successfully got Jiyong’s attention. “Why expand, Kwon? You’re big enough in Korea. I don’t see the need.”

“Korea is one but Asia and Europe is another story, Ms. Ahn.” His voice cool but determined. He won’t let this slip. He uttered repeatedly in his mind. “I don’t think I’d settle for less when I know I can achieve to be the best.”

“The best?” her tone calm and amused. “So you think we are the best partner for the expansion, Mr. Kwon?”

“Yes. Then I won’t be telling myself repeatedly this whole time that I should not let this deal slip off if it’s not.”

Her laugh resonated across the whole room. A little more push then this deal will be closed. Jiyong smiled feeling the nearing victory at the palm of his hands. Sohee stopped laughing at once and clasped her hands above the table.

“It is true then that a rich man’s humor is always funny,” a smile playing at the side of her plump lips. She looked strikingly elegant but with a hint of viciousness.

In fact, she resembled of an Azalea—beautiful yet poisonous.

“Humor is something that thrives between man's aspirations and his limitations, Ms. Ahn. There is more logic in humor than in anything else. Because, you see, humor is truth.” He said, confidence emanating from him. Smart-mouth is what people always call Jiyong.

And he would like to take as a compliment rather than a criticism.

Sohee stood up abruptly and her Louboutin heels made a clicking sound on the floor as she strode towards Jiyong. Slowly and surely. Sohee shortened the distance between them. Her smile never leaving her lips. It has been such a long time since she last played. She needs some fun right now. And surprisingly, she found the person befitting for the role of a playmate. She smirked inwardly.

Business and boys… oh, such a perfect combination.

She bend down to meet his eyes, her face just inches apart from Jiyong’s, “Very well then, Mr. Kwon.” Sohee whispered. “Looking forward to working with you,” and with that, she offered her hand for a shake.

Jiyong smiled and took her hands. “So do I, Ms. Ahn.”

Good job, Jiyong. Congratulating his self for yet another job well done.

Dara stepped out of the shower and found Jiyong lying on their bed.

“Oh, you’re here.” Jiyong heard his wife and quickly sat up. She walked up to him and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. She flashed him a smile, melting Jiyong’s heart instantly.

“Yes, baby. Always here.” And Jiyong pointed on chest, specifically on the left where his heart’s located.

Dara chuckled and smacked him playfully on his arm. “Yah! Getting cheesy, Mr. Kwon?”

“Just with you, Mrs. Kwon.” Jiyong took Dara’s hand and guided her to sit on his lap. He inhaled her scent as she sat on him. Strawberry and vanilla…delicious. “How’s your day, baby?” he asked.

“Oh, I went to your mother’s.” she said. “Father is not there so I only got to talk to mother.”

“Why? What did you talk about?” he inquired, taking a strand of her hair. He loves playing with her hair.

“Things.” Dara shrugged. “ Shin Yong, You and business. And good news baby!” her face brightened up suddenly as she gaze down at him.

“What’s it?”

“Your father’s health is getting better. A lot better.” And she smiled at Jiyong. Her face sunny with pure delight.

“That’s good.” Jiyong, infected by his wife’s happy virus, can’t help but to grin too.

First, the deal with the Ahn Prime Holdings has been signed and sealed ready expansion next week and now, his father’s health is getting better. Jiyong could not ask for more. God is answering all his prayers. His efforts are finally paying off.

“And speaking of good news, baby. I also have one for you.” He said, trying to stifle his giggle.

“Really?!” Dara bounced up and down like a little kid in Jiyong’s lap, feeling excited to what her husband’s got say. “What’s it? Tell me!”

“I…” Jiyong started. “…sealed the deal with the Ahn’s! Expansion is on the work, baby!” he happily announced to her. Dara’s didn’t bother to hide her happiness from Jiyong.

She hugged him tightly, feeling proud of his husband and Jiyong did the same. She knew he could do it. He’s not Kwon Jiyong for no apparent reason. A young business man with a genius mind. He was born with it. He was born to be successful.

“I knew you could do it, baby.” Dara said after a minute or two of laughing and celebrating uncontrollably. “You’re the best!” and she held her two thumbs up to him.

“You have so much faith in me, Dara.” His voice almost seeming like a whisper. “Thank you.”

“Always baby. I’ll always have faith in you.” And he can’t help but grab her head and kiss her passionately. Locked up in their own bubble once again.
