Kizuato doesn't really have a great relationship with his brother, and when he realizes that Sam has been abusing Jace, he becomes furious. He's Jace's neighbor, but he's never really home, and when he is, he stays in his room all the time. Jace just thinks that he's a friend of Sam's.
