Lisette began to tremble with excitement as she stared at the crimson haired spearmenThough she had spoken with him quite a bit she hadn't really learned much about him.She sighed as she prepared her first question.
Lisette:How old are you exactly?
Dante:Ok fine.Let's play a quick game.Why don't you two guess how old I am?
Alto:40.
Dante:*punches Alto roughly on the arm.Uses a strained voice*Why don't we try a bit younger?
Lisette:21?
Dante:No,but close enough.I am currently 18.I started training with Hilda when I was 11.My village was destroyed when I was 10,but Hilda over there gave me a year to recooperate and on my birthday began my training.I know you didn't ask for all of that ,but I just added it on.
Alto:Ok what can you do when it comes to skills?
Dante:Ahh so you do say good things.*chuckles*Anyways I can cook pretty well and I have taken up sculpting lately.It's a bit boring,but it's always nice to see the way something comes out in the end.In addition to that I can fight with a sword,katana,and axe though of everything I will always favor my spear.
Lisette:Why do you do what you do?Like what is it that drives you to follow through with the crystallization?
Dante:*Sighs*Well actually I'm looking for someone.Besides that I'm here to help Hilda complete her wish and protect as many lives as possible.No matter how ungrateful they are.
Alto:Ok,My turn.How-*Alto is interrupted as Dante hurls his spear.The blade just barely missing Alto's head*
"What the heck was that!You almost hit my head you spear maniac!"Alto exclaimed,getting up.Just then a rustling could be heard behind Alto.He felt a cold hand settle on his shoulder resulting in an icy feeling running through his body.The black haired boy turned around slowly and was face to face with a ghoul.The unholy spirit wore nothing,but a black cloak and a light blue eye shone from under the hood.The hand suddenly tugged and pulled Alto into the bush.
Hilda,though surprised by the attack used a shadow ball to blast the bush in which Alto had disappeared in to.As the smoke faded from the blast Alto was in a defensive position cringing.Realizing,the situation he ran to between his three allies.
"Alto!Stay behind us your attacks won't work on it.So please don't try to fight it!"Hilda cried as she summoned her scythe and glared at the forest.The time witch steadied herself when more of the ghouls appeared."Lisette summon your staff please!"
"How do i do that?"Lisette questioned her mentor shakily.
"Ugh forget it!Just stay behind Dante and I!"With that Hilda dived into battle with Dante at her side.Hilda's attacks consisted of a swiping of her scythe and sometimes summoning dark colored beams to destroy her opponents.Her accuracy was on point and she knew where to hit the monsters for the most favorable result.Dante's approach seemed a bit less strategic considering that it was just a mixture of different thrusts with his spear.More ghouls in the place of the many that the two had taken down.Dante took a knee from exhaustion and Hilda clearly irritated dropped her weapon.She released a bone rattling screech and an assortment of crystals erupted from the earth impaling all of the ghouls.
"How..."Alto could barely make out.Hilda dropped to the ground clearly exhausted.She groped at her throat and sent Dante a look.Dante simply nodded and picked up his weapon.
"Kids looks like we'll be spending a bit more time camping!"Dante clapped his hands and smiled at the two paralyzed teens.Another shuffling was heard and Dante steadied his spear.A figure stepped out of the bushes wearing an interesting amount of pink and purple.
"Dante!I heard Hilda's scream!I swear you're the worst guardian ever,this is why I'm the best harbinger of all.Well second to Hilda!"Hilda smiled warmly at the figure and Dante put his hand on his hip.
"So nice of you join us,Dorothy.I was worried I'd have to fight all by my lonesome."
Dorothy looked at the two hostages and smiled a great big smile"Well look what we have here!I don't think I've seen you two before!"
