>Alto<

 "Umm....excuse me,ma'am but i don't think we've ever met"Alto said confused and embarrased.

  "hmm,ok i guess your not him,my friend..."the woman looked up longingly and wise.

  "what was that thing you were doing before.It was different,it was beautiful.please if you don't mind do it again."Alto pleaded with the the woman.

  "before i do anything of that sort,who are you?"The woman asked frustrated.

"My name is Alto from the village of Mithra."

"Hmm...Alto that's a strange name.What you heard before was a type of music called a song."

"Its a bit rude to say that about a persons name.Wait a song that means..you can sing.But, if that's the case who are you."

  "the name's Hilda.As for what you asked before you want an encore.My song is usually thought to be curse are you sure?this is much different from everyone else."She said looking down at her boots."Only witches can sing,even the most simple minded children know this.Are you stupid?"

  "Lisette told me about something like that.Wait a second.......ARE YOU A WITCH?!?!?!?"

 "Hmmm,keep it down pesky boy,i don't particularly like attention and as to your question,who can say?Also......"She said looking up,her nose twitching a bit"you should leave i can sense monsters near,very close."

  "Huh"

just as Alto said that 3 green blob looking creatures jumped out from behind trees.

"What are those things?Ew.I've never seen beasts like those before"Alto said disgusted.

"1.your correct you couldn't have seen them their not your normal animal these are monsters.and 2 you should get out of here before things get messy.literally"Hilda chuckled at her joke."hmmm by the way if you want to see your loved ones again i suggest you allow a professional handle these things."

"No way-witch or not i'm not letting a girl fight on her own, come on blobs.....lets dance."Alto announced unsheathing his blade.

"have it your way"Hilda pouted,but turned her attention back to their foes.She then summoned an elegant lilac colored scythe from dark energy."although leave the quips to me,ok i'm much more qualified to use them."

Hilda teleported through the forest appearing behind one of the monsters before they had a chance to react.She summoned a void like orb and blasted the monster with it causing it to disappear on the spot.She then teleported again and appeared in front of the next enemy.She looked down on it and used her scythe to slice into two ending its life.She again vanished,but appeared sitting in a tree.She smiled gleefully at Alto on the ground.

"lets see what you can do 'Mister Hunter'"She yelled from atop the tree.

Alto blushed and looked straight ahead at the mess of a monster.He ran straight at it and slashed his sword.he missed and the blob bit at him.hmm another battle scar Alto thought to himself as he winced.He then sliced in arc shape and was able to get the monster and too slice it in half.

Hilda floated down and clapped.Alto put his hands on his hips proudly,Hilda giggled a bit.Then composed herself realizing she showed emotion,Alto gawked.

>Lisette<

She woke up when she heard a melody.It was beautiful,but there was only one way that sound was possible it was a song,only witches sing those.She jumped out of her bed and raced to Alto's room.He was gone.Oh no he must've gone to investigate.That blockhead needed to be more careful.She...cared about him.She quickly got dressed brushed her teeth and ran out the open door.She ran all the way until the song stopped.

Why did the song stop.How was she going to find Alto now.She ran into the forest blindly and fell down a hill.She scraped her knee, a battle scar Alto would've called it.She continued to run until she heard the slashing of something.She ran in that direction and found Alto talking to a very lightly dressed woman.Who is she,lisette ran up to them acting like everything was fine.

"geez,tell me when your going for a morning stroll,i would've loved some sun light you scared me."Lisette said casually."Um Alto whose this girl?"

"Oh hey lisette this is Hilda we ju-"Alto started the introduction.

"Leave your home immediately,both of you.I've just met you,but i already feel strongly connected to you two.For your own sake i suggest you leave...Mithra was it.whats going to happen tonight will be terrible,so leave."Hilda commanded

"but Mithras really nice,why don't you come with us"She motioned for Hilda to follow them."the water and food is amazing and all  of the villagers view each other as family.We're also extremely busy during festivals even though we're a bit small."

"Gosh...your stubborn.can you hear what i'm saying.You-Guys-Need-To-Leave-Your-Village.its up to you on whether you listen or not"Hilda said walking away from the two of them.She waved back kindly.

"hmm i wonder why she told us to leave and what was that trouble she told us about.She's clearly not from here. are her clothes popular around here or something?"Lisette said thinking aloud.

"Don't ask me i just met her"Alto said raising his hand and began to walk back when lisette jumped at him and caught him in an embrace.

"Lisette wh-"

"I was so worried when i heard the song and you were gone,Alto.Don't scare me like that please.Your like a brother to me i don't want to lose you like i lost him"Lisette said through tears.

"Ok lisette lets get back before Rosa gets worried too".Alto said quietly.Lisette agreed and they together headed back to Mithra.

As they entered their home town they heard screaming and went to see what was happening.When they got to the middle they saw that one of the villagers had been frozen into crystal.

"Mister Otto went into the forest to hunt,he didn't come back.When we sent a search party this is what was found."The mayor said solemnly."we're all so worried,is it some type of plague??rhetorical of course you two youthful teens couldn't possibly know about this."

Alto and Lisette looked at each other.
