The Birthday

              He just couldn't believe it. It was just so much. There were so many wolves out in the forest today. Lisette would explode from happiness after she saw all of the meat he would bring back.He smiled to himself.

         "Well time to begin" Alto mumbled. He sliced through the pack in minutes leaving only 6 left. One of which was the alpha.He stared at Alto with his piercing green eyes.He had a deep silver pelt and claws that looked thick enough to be made of steel. The alpha then pounced. Alto quickly blocked and striked back.though he only nipped it.Alto then made a running charge at the alpha and through it back.The rest of the wolves cowered because of the loss of their alpha but didn't back down.

      "oh well 4 big chunks of wolf meat should be enough for now.Lisette will be so happy,but..the more the merrier" he said as he got into his battle stance.

   "so here is how the legend goes.Once upon a time there was a god on the moon.The people worshipped this god.And soon a kingdom was founded-the kingdom of regnant.While the kingdom thrived the peoples faith in the god dwindled.God despaired over this and sent an army of angels down to earth to punish the faithless.Until one boy Elcrest stood up.Elcrest journeyed to where the god resided the moon and gave his life to quiet it.Saved by his sacrifice the regnant kingdom now regards and praises him as a hero.The end."

    "Wow that was quite the story,but i want more"said Eric.

     "yeah me too.please."said Bree.

"No thats enough for today you guys should go now your parents might get worried."lisette said while offering them a small smile.They quickly thanked her and ran off to their homes.She sighed and thought to herself((i wonder what Altos doing that is making him take so long.i better go check)) She ran into the forest as fast as she could and couldn't see him where everyone was to stay. Why could he never listen to them,he is such a handful.Lisette crossed the line and already began to feel nervous. She stepped into the luscious green of the forest and looked around.That's when she saw his black hair and a glitter of his steel sword.

"Alto!!!!!! what did the village say?we are not to pass the border if we do we endanger our lives is what your doing really that important?"She cried out but shrieked when she saw why his sword was drawn.

"Lisette what are you doing here weren't you telling stories to the villagers or something like that"He said not turning around He had already sliced  away at least half the back.She shouldn't be here shes not safe if she gets hurt i'll never forgive myself he said to himself.

"um..... Alto.......Why"Lisette said trembling while staring at the shiny teeth of 6 wolves in front of her.Alto swept his arm in front of her silently telling her to stay back.And then he lunged at the pack not worrying about his own safety just knowing that he had to do this for her after all she'd done for him. He slashed at one cutting it in two and used the hilt of his sword to knock out one behind him.The last four bared their teeth in rage seeing their allies taken out.The four lunged but Alto managed to take out 2.

"look out Alto!!" Lisette said as one lunged at his back.Its claws tore through his flesh giving him a small scar and tried to jump away but Alto slashed it with his sword taking it out.The last wolf looked at its fallen companions and ran away whimpering.

"What the heck were you thinking!?! "Lisette screamed almost near tears.

Alto glanced at her face and chuckled,he went to get her a meal for this special day and he gets a scolding.He looked up at the sky and whispered"what a fair world"

"i was getting something important don't worry i'm not that hurt"Alto said flinching a little bit.

"come on lets get you back to mom"Lisette said walking away.

The two chatted on their way to the village. When they arrived they greeted all of their neighbors and walked into the little cot they called home.
