Chapter 1: Introduction

                      Yuri bit her lip as she watched the way East Sylvester's lips moved as he talked to his friends at lunch. His big, pink lips had her hypnotized and she couldn't help but to image them planted kisses all over her body.

East is the ideal crush. The crush that you have since you were in kindergarten type of crush. Even though they spoke a few times from knowing each other, he barely paid her any attention.

Yuri couldn't blame him though- she got her personality and style from her mother, who was still stuck in the fashion of the past. She got nothing from her father, but his eyes and thick eyebrows.

She couldn't help but to reveal herself as a tomboy. She was always with her father after her mother had her twin little sisters, Ilena and Yelena.

"Helloo." Yuri's cousin, Julia, spoke out getting her attention. "You haven't said a single thing I said have you?"

Yuri shook her head. "I'm sorry, I-

"Dazed out, I know." Julia finished.

Yuri awkwardly laughed. She couldn't help but to do it. She was an introvert and having conversations period, made her feel uncomfortable.

"I know you not staring at them ugly ass boys over there." Julia said before rolling her eyes.

Yuri scoffed. "Hell no." She lied. "I was just thinking .."

Julia sighed. "Well forget that, how you getting home? Your fine ass daddy getting you or your fine ass mama'?" She asked making Yuri rolled her eyes.

"Neither, Isla is getting me." She said before grabbing her things from the table to go to class.

"That's fine too." Julia said as she followed behind her.

As Yuri was walking to class, she was shoved into the wall and dropped her iPhone X on the ground.

Julia quickly turned around ready to snap, but when she seen the group of boys that was by their lunch table earlier, she instantly swung her arm, hitting her boyfriend, Will. 

"You and your friends need to watch where the fuck y'all going! Y'all shoved her and drop her new phone, you dumb ass bit-

"Baby, chill out. It's not even that serious. I don't see your friend going nuts like you." Will said cutting her off.

"I don't care. Y'all lucky her shit didn't break." Julia said with full attitude.

"Man, bye. Her lame ass wasn't gone do shit no way." Stephen commented, making the group of friends laugh.

Yuri's face turned red from embarrassment as they boys continued to clown on her.

"Y'all chill out, y'all doing too much." East commented as he stopped the joking from going further than it had to.

"Man." Stephen said before kissing his teeth.

He walked up to Yuri and decided to bother her as Julia and Will entertained each other.

"What's up with these clothes ma'?" Stephen asked pulling at the fabric near her shoulder. "You dress more manly than me, but that wouldn't stop me from getting shit poppin' with you." He said before winking.

Yuri smacked his hand away from her and turned to Julia to see that she wasn't paying attention.

"Don't touch me." She said defending herself.

Stephen chuckled. "I wouldn't touch you even if you was the last bitch on earth, you fuckin' dyke." He spat.

"Yo', chill out. You over doing it bro." East spoke up.

He wasn't feeling the way Stephen was talking to her. She looked uncomfortable and like she was going to scream and make a scene any second now.

He wasn't going to get his prom taken away for being a bystander to her being harassed.

Stephen kissed his teeth. "Whatever, I'm gone tho." He said before looking over at Yuri in disgust before walking away.

                          Sliding into the back seat of her aunt Isla's car, she was met by Isla wide smile. "Hey, niece! How was school today?" She asked before pulling off.

Yuri sighed. "It was- it was okay." She said leaving out the part of her being harassed.

"That's good, would you mind coming with me to pick up my boyfriend? He caught a flat and his car is in the shop." She asked.

Yuri shook her head. "I don't." She said before putting in her headphones.

Exhaling, she slid her shoes off and decided to take a nap in the back seat. She was exhausted and just wanted to sleep.

Since she did all of her homework at school, she spent most of her time sleeping and watching Riverdale on Netflix.

Ten minutes passed and the car came to a stop. Yuri pushes her curls out of her face and opened her eyes when she heard the passenger door open.

"Thanks, baby. I 'preciate you comin'." The man said with a deep voice that was laced with a Memphis accent.

Sitting up, she was met by Isla kissing the man in her face and Yuri couldn't help but to sigh, which got there attention.

Isla pulled away, forgetting that her niece was in the car. "Oh, I'm sorry Niecey, this is my boyfriend, Dave. Dave, this my niece, Yuri." She said introducing the two.

Yuri shyly smiles at the handsome man that stared at her. "Hi." She waved.

Dave was extremely handsome, he had this rough look and it really made him more attractive. Tattoos decorated his body and his brown, doe shaped eyes stared into hers, intimidating her.

He nodded and turned back to Isla. "I need you to drop me off at my crib for I can go get my other car. I'm bringing Andre with me to drive my main car back, baby." He said as he started to tap away on his phone.

Isla nodded as she stepped on the break and put the car in drive, making her way to drop Dave off first since he was closer.

"You don't mind coming with me to drop Dave off, do you? I'll get you something to eat." Isla said.

Yuri shrugged. "I don't mind." She said as she pulled out her phone.

Looking up at Dave, who was picking out his goatee in the mirror, Yuri couldn't help but to take a glimpse, but she caught him taking a glimpse at her too.

A smirk covered Dave's face and he licked his lips before turning his head to look out the window.
