Wow, the very end of Jack's freshmen year, and Finn's Sophmore. It's crazy how fast time would fly bye, not even noticing the things around them.
Jack was so comfortable with Finn, he spoke fluently with him when others weren't around. It was the last week of high school for them, and it seemed like an eternity for this school day to end.
"Okay, okay, we're going to be Juniors? We're upper class men now? How fucking cool is that!" Sophia exclaimed, she smiled as she took another bite of her food.
"We get it," Jaeden rolled his eyes into the back of his head, "you're excited for school to be over."
Jack let out a chuckle, they always never got along, like brother and sister.
Jack put his hand on the empty seat, Finn was late today, but he didn't know why. Sophia noticed Jack's glare at the empty spot.
"Do you know where Finn is?" Sophia pitched at Jack.
Jack just shrugged it off, picking up his hands until he felt the seat by next to him slam down, Jack jumped back, heavily breathing.
"Did I scare ya?" Finn laughed, with his lunch tray in his hands.
"Why are you so late? You have like 5 minutes to now scarf down your food!?" Jaeden laughed, he then flickered his eyebrows up. "Or," he stretched out the 'r'
Finn raised his eyebrows in confusion, "Or what? Finish your sentence?"
"One word."
"Okay?"
"Female."
"C'mon Jaeden this isn't a game of fucking charades?" Finn laughed resting his chin on his hand.
"Sadie." Jaeden drew out the 'ie' at the end.
Finn spat out his drink, "oh, uh, yeah, what about her?" He stuttered slightly.
"Oh, someone has a girlfriend." Sophia teased, until she looked at Jack, he didn't seem to think any of this was funny, so she kept her face solemn.
Jack's head scrambled with words. His heart raced, and his face burned, leaving his cheeks red. He knew this would happen sometime. He knew he was going to be replaced soon.
Finn looked back at his food, "Look it was a one time thing."
Jaeden spat out his drink. "You've already messed around with her?"
Finn's cheeks blushed. "See, it was just a one time thing."
Jack couldn't take it anymore, he threw away his food and left. Finn looked at the other two, then rushed up out of his seat.
"Hey Jack! Wait up, what's wrong." He cornered him into a empty hallway.
"Oh, I don't know, I didn't realize my best friend was such a man whore." He walked past Finn, hitting his shoulder walking out. "Don't fucking wait up."
Finn sat there sliding down to sit in the lonesome hallway.
Finn was mad. He let his personal feelings get the best of him. He closed his eyes trying to blink the memories away.
"Son, we need to talk." His father held a half empty bottle of vodka in his hand, before swishing it around to press the burning liquor again to his lips.
"Y-yeah?" Finn spat, sitting on the couch.
"This Jack boy?"
"Yeah, He's my best friend." Finn smiled thinking about his memories with him.
"Mhm, it seems like you've been spending too much time with this boy, I can see it all over your face, son." He coughed, taking another drink.
Finn played with the fabric of his jeans.
"You know, I don't raise fags in my house hold." He growled out. "Do you understand me?" He gritted his teeth.
Finn sat silent, not making eye contact with his father.
Finn's father threw the bottle at him, letting the glass shatter as it hit his skin. He winced, letting a tear fall from his cheek.
"I also don't raise pussies either." He stood up throwing his son to the ground, hitting his head on the corner of the table, wincing in pain. "I better see you with a girl sometime soon, or it'll be a hell of a lot worse than this." He smashed his fingers with his boots, as he walked away, opening another bottle.
Finn let his cheeks burn, and not shed a tear, because he's not a pussy. He grabbed his bag, as he walked to his next class.
Jack cheeks were pink, feeling bad for what he said to Finn just a couple of minutes ago. He pulled out his phone, slowly pacing his breathing.
Jack: Hey, uh I'm terribly sorry for what I said. That was so fucking dumb I feel horrible. Maybe you could stop by my house and stay for a while?
Finn seemed to instantly reply.
Finn: sorry. I guess I'm too busy being a man whore tonight
Finn sent those words, not meaning them whatsoever, he was hurting and just needed to reflect.
Jack: please... Sophia and Jaeden will be there too.
Finn: fine.
Jack smiled hoping for the best, as his chest beaten faster. And his face burned. Jack was in love, officially in love, with his best friend.
