Chapter 20: Ending the mystery

Two weeks later
October 7, 2017

Dear Dumbass,

Hey..Me. We haven't talked in a while, huh? Well a lot has happened. If you don't remember, then here's a list for ya:

1. Me and Mary made it to the refugee center.

2. Plot twist Daniel, my old best friend who fell in love with me when we were in 6th grade, is the leader of the refugees

3. Daniel and Mary are dating and are actually a pretty cute couple, even though I hate to admit it.

4. We went into war to avenge the refugees and to finally free Mary from triple-M who was hunting us down

5. We lost the war.
Yeaaaa it was pretty fucking embarrassing

6. Mary then came and Saved us but then she got caught and we got caught and just a whole lot of embarrassment and disappointment.

Nathan is Mad Man Max's son and Mary is his daughter.

8. Mary got beaten up

9. Mat, Jess and Irec came to rescue us and succeeded!

10. We won but then once we got back to the refugees base I found out that Mary is pregnant and she's gonna die unless the baby dies

Sooo, yea. That's pretty much all ya miss past Jona. Oh! Soon it'll be Mary's birthday and she'll be fifteen. Fifteen and pregnant... I really just can't believe it. I thought of her as that young friend that everyone has that is always the innocent and sweet one but...I guess I thought wrong.
So much has happened in the past three years or so. Mat says I've changed a lot. In a good way though. So does Jess and Mary. In fact: EVERYONE has said that I've changed a lot-

Daniel: JONATHAN!

Jonathan: YEA?

Daniel: COULD YOU COME DOWNSTAIRS?

Jonathan: COMING

Welp. This is officially my last journal entry. Like I was saying, A lot has changed...but so had I.

Goodbye Dumbass.

I closed my journal and threw it on my bed. I then began to go downstairs.

A  week ago, the refugees settled in Pontal and gave Daniel his old house back. I decided to stay with Daniel since I wanted to be close to Mary and I wanted to be close by if something happened to her. Also, nothing was waiting for me back home or in Caretrun, so Pontal it is!
The house had two floors and three rooms. One was the infirmary, Daniel's room was in the left and my room was across the hall next to the bathroom. Aside from a fe bloodstains, the house is pretty beautiful and comfy. The town itself was comfy too. People where slowly rebuilding The Whole thing and people where already working at their old jobs. It was kinda inspirational in some way.
I went downstairs only to find Daniel talking to a few guards who were holding Mad Man Max in chains. Avery was there too. Everyone looked calm aside from him.

Jonathan: wassup?

Daniel: Jonathan. We need to discuss Mary's condition.

I went closer to them. I saw that Max was looking at the ground with a dead glare in his eyes. He had bruises and marks all over his body even though it was completely covered with an orange jumpsuit he had on.
