Stan wasn't focused on the birds in the forest at all.

He wanted to know who Bill liked.

What was Bev to him?

Weren't they dating?

He looks up at the sky.

"That's a Pilated woodpecker." He points to the red bird. Georgie looked up. Georgie sat on the right side of Stan, Bill on the left.

"It looks like the ones from cartoons." Georgie whispered.

"It does."

Stan watched Bill sketch, his beautiful eyes focused on the bird.

He sketched fast, but still good.

"What are those two doing?"

He pointed to two birds in a tree mating.

"They're loving each other. They're so happy together that they're having little baby birdies." Stan tried to explain.

"But Love is kissing and holding hands 'n stuff."

"It's love in a whole other level." Stan says in reply. Bill stopped sketching and looks over at Stan.

"Do humans love each other like that?"

"Yes."

"Do they have to love each other a whole lot?"

"Yes..."

"How do you know if the other person loves you?"

"They say it or do it through actions. They hang out, kiss, hug, hold hands, and makes you a promise."

"What promise?"

Stan looks up at the sky.

"A promise that they'll never leave each other, despite what happens."

Bills mind goes back to last night, the kiss they shared, how Stan walked him home, how they hugged, how Stan called him cute. And they made that promise when they were 11.

"Do you love somebody Stan?" Georgie asks.

"Yes. But they don't feel the same."

"How do you know that?"

"I don't, I'm just assuming."

Bill joins the conversation.

"D-Don't come to assumptions. T-That person c-could Be h-head over h-heels for y-you."

"I doubt it."

Stan looks down at Bill, their eyes meet. Georgie was grinning.

"Are you guys gonna kiss?" Georgie whispered.

Bill widened his eyes, blushing

"G-Georgie!"

Stan laughs quietly.

"You guys can still kiss! I won't look! I promise!" Georgie covers his eyes, peeking through his fingers.

"We aren't gonna kiss Georgie, don't worry."

Georgie pouts.

Bill goes back to drawing, trying to get the red out of his cheeks.

"Do you love Bill, Stan?" Georgie asks.

Stan widened his eyes a bit.

"G-Georgie! Y-You c-can't a-ask t-t-that!"

"Depends on what kind of way you mean."

Maybe it was a good time to confess to Bill.

"The one where you make a promise."

"Yes, I do."

Bill widened his eyes, his cheeks only darkening.

"You love Billy? Bill! Bill! Did you hear that?" Georgie claps.

"Y-You l-like m-m-me?" Bill asks Stan.

He nods.

"Have for awhile."

"The p-poem was about you." Bill mumbled.

"It was?" Stan asks quietly. Bill nods.

"You like me too?"

Bill nods again.

"But Bev-"

"I know." Bill says without stuttering.

"C-Can we forget f-for now?"

Bill leaned in a bit.

"Yes..."

Their lips meet and Georgie cheered loudly until they broke it.

Stan was still in shock.

"We should g-get going." Bill whispers, still close to Stan's face. His pretty blue eyes flutter open.

"Yeah." Stan nods.
