This time it was bright, too bright. White lights everywhere, antiseptic smells burning my nostrils. Was I in... wait?!?
There was a pressure around my wrist, like a clamp. I tried to tug at it but it wouldn't budge. I lifted my head up looking around the room, there were a good ten white lights shining on me, like I was a specimen of great interest or something.
"I guess you might be wondering where you are Marinette" a doctor with a mask on and gloves. He sat down on a wheely-chair and wheeled around to my bed, if you could call it that, it was hard and I could feel the layer of plastic under me.
"Umm... yes where am I and who are you, if I may ask" I put my head back down, it was to much effort to keep it up.
"Well Marinette, I'm Dr Gilbert, I'll be working on your leg, Making sure there is no nerve damage or muscle tearage. If anything bad pops up I'll also be your surgeon." He gave ms a slight smile and went down to start the checkup of my leg.
"So any way, subject change, why am I stuck to the bed" I raised my eyebrow, although he probably couldn't see it.
"Well Marinette, considering you got these injuries due to a suicide attempt you have been classified as dangerous to yourself and others. Therefore for safety reasons we have to bed trap you." He said it so seriously but distracted at the same time, he was poking around the hole in my leg but it didn't hurt. Must have a numbing agent in use or something.
The room still seemed bland and boring. I wish they at least had some paintings or something.

"Well it looks like you have muscle tearage, bad too but lucky for you there is no nerve damage, you were close to it though. We might have to stick the muscle up and you'll have to be know a wheelchair or something of the likes for a while. It looks like a pretty clean tear so I wish t have to cut away waste or anything. Ok I've just gotta speak for the boss about this."He looked pretty happy with the job, it was going to be easy for him.

I was transported from one room to another, exactly the same.
I was tired of looking at the same things over and over again. It was an eye sore, literally.

Dr Gilbert spoke,
"We won't be giving you gas to sleep because your dad says he scared it will coma induce you, sooo we're just going to have to inject some pain killer into the area." He looked kind of sorry for me, I guess the pain killer isn't as effective as the sleeping gas.

I felt the sharp pain of a needle stabbing through tough skin, like scissors to paper.
I gritted my teeth trying, and failing, to stop myself from tensing anything around the needle.
He wiped his head and went in with another needle. Why so many, it was a good four needles before he even started touching the muscle.

At least it was numb I guess.
"WAIT, did you say my 'dad' said I couldn't have the sleeping has. Who does dad refer to" I tried looking at him but to do so meant to sit up slightly and that would cause me to tense muscle area around the wound, not good.

"Well, the mayor of course, also he wanted to pass this message on to you, 'he is severely disappointed in your actions when first taking step into his family'. I feel sorry for you having that man as your father. He cruel to everyone except his beloved daughters" Dr Gilbert kept working on my leg, it felt like a soft tapping now, guess the numbing stuff is worth it.
"I'm not that beloved, I had screaming match with him within the first half hour of entering his house" I gave a half hearted chuckle, but that didn't stop the tears from falling.
"If it makes you feel any better I didn't have any family, I was an orphan" he looked down, and went back to work.

I lifted myself up with my arms so I could look at him properly, thanks to the needles I couldn't even feel half my leg.
"Hey, Dr Gilbert, your not alone. My parents tossed me away to employees of theirs and now want me back for some reason" tears came to my eyes I couldn't hold them back.
"Hey call me Calvin, it's my actual birth name soo yeah" he went back to work.

It stayed silent for awhile, but it wasn't awkward actually it was quite a welcoming silence.

Calvin finished up on the leg, all the muscle and skin back together.
They made me walk, with stilts, get my legs to work again after lying on my back and ass for so long.

After one of the sessions Calvin came up to me, he looked quite happy. Something must be going right.
"Hey Marinette, we got your test in and you'll be out of the hospital this afternoon, you still have to use these stilts though" he laughed a little.

"So I'll finally be aloud out" I have a little squeal, and if I could I would have  jumped. It had been like forever since I went outside.
"Ok now, I was wondering, if you have any problems you might not want any old doctor work on you so here you go" he gave me a slip with a number on it, I looked up at him " and if you need anything else" he put his hand on the back of his head and looked to the side, he cheeks were going a little red.
"Ummm, how old are you" I was a little worried, I was only seventeen and this guy looked like twenty-five.
"Hey, I'm only twenty, how old did you think I was" he laughed, well he wasn't too old.
We walked to the doors so I could finally leave.
"Hey be careful and don't ruin any of the work ok" Calvin hugged me goodbye and I left.

I think his number will come in use.
