Angelica's POV
I let out a deep sigh as the masseuse presses into my back, relieving built up tension.
"This is just what I needed", I say to my sisters, who were lying on massage table next to me.
"Mhmm", Peggy hums in response. "You're a genius Liza."
"I know I am", she responds. It was her idea for all of us to have a spa day. Just us girls.
Plus Lafayette, of course. The masseuse walk away and leave us to talk.
"Oui, this is the first time I have relaxed in months", he says. "Me and Hercy have been so busy helping Alex and John with their wedding."
"Thank goodness for you two", says Peggy. "I talked to Alex the other day. He just started a new internship, and he's also taking online classes."
"He's gonna work his self to death!", laughs Eliza. "I'm happy that he's getting his life together, but he really needs to take a break." ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡° )
My phone pings letting me know I have a text message. I look down to see who it is and almost jump off the massage table.
"Oh my God."
"What's wrong?"
"Guess who just text me?'
"Who?"
"Thomas fucking Paine."
Eliza gasp and Lafayette chokes on the lemonade he was drinking.
"Are you shitting me?" says Eliza.
"Here read it yourself!" I shoved the phone in her face and her eyes quickly scan over the text message.
From Thomas P.
Thomas P: Hey, how have you been? I got home from Europe a few days ago and wondered if you wanted to hang out? I miss you. Hmu 😉
"Omg you have to say yes", Peggy exclaims.
"What, no! I haven't talked to him in a year. It'll be awkward", I say, blushing.
"Angie this is the time for a second chance!" Lafayette pitches in. "It may not have worked out the first time. So what? Now is the time. Go for it."
"I don't know......"
"Angie do you love him?", asks Eliza.
"I think so."
"Then text him back!"
"Okay okay."
I quickly type a reply. I breath in and quickly hit send.
Me: Sure Thomas, I'd love too.

Woops I haven't updated in forever y'all. Mostly because my phone has been acting up and I just got a new one. Also it's been hella chaotic w/ school and I've been dealing with some personal stuff that I had to fix. But yeah sorry for all the excuses.
Also sorry this is so short. Like I've said, school has had me busy, but thank God cuz I get out of school tomorrow. And if you haven't read the first book, then you might not get the deal w/ Thomas Paine. But if you read it and you just forgot lemme know and I'll remind ya.
