When Jules and I hopped off the car, the smell of alcohol hit us first. In high school, drinking at parties were the norm but my mother made me promise her before leaving the house that I would never drink too much. Teenagers were already in their own seperate groups and as we walked towards the house, we saw many couples already making out with each other. They were so engrossed in kissing each other, I blushed and looked away because I felt that it was something intimate and private; I shouldn't be watching them.

"Oh look, there's Mack! Oh no I think I'm going to faint," Jules wrapped her hand around my arm. I turned to look at her, only to see her blushing under the dim light. "He looks so hot today, not saying that he's not hot everyday but..."she paused, pointing to his leather jacket and suddenly squealed," man, look at his fashion sense and his biceps!"

"Go to him girl, ask him out or something." I shrugged.

"How?"

"Just go up to him and say 'Hey, where did you get your leather jacket? It looks really cute on you' or something of that sort." I dragged her towards Mack until we were only a metre away from him.

"Hey Mack, Jules wants to talk to you." I pushed Jules even closer to him, until Jules' arm was brushing against his. Jules blushed profusely as she stammered,

"I think your leather jacket looks cute."

"Really? My leather jacket and not me?" Mack mumbled as he stared at the ground. Everyone could tell that he was disappointed. Even his green eyes weren't shining that much anymore.

"No, you're the cute one. No wait what I mean is, yeah you're cute, I mean your jacket is cute, but you're really cute-" Jules got cut off by his kiss. Everyone's eyes widened because we all knew Jules had the hots for Mack but no one knew that Mack had felt the same about her. I smiled as we all whooped and clapped for the new couple. By the time they were done making out in the middle of the party, Jules was still as frozen as before. Then she suddenly screamed," Oh my cheetos, what the heck happened. Did I just kiss Mack? The guy I've been crushing on like forever? OH MY CHEETOS!!!"

While I watched Jules and Mack walking towards the kitchen, arms around each other, I couldn't help but to just smile and envy them.
