Rewind, Please?

It all started in grade three

When i started to feel the glee.

You held my smile but broke it,

And replaced it with something crooked.

Your still my best friend but nothing more,

It bites how much I can still adore

But I know I can never say amor.

Amor would describe me and you,

Or how the sky turns blue.

Now the sky is gray

You won't even look my way.

There's a new girl in sight

So I won't put up a fight.

Push me out of your eyes,

And fill me with all your lies.

Quit toying with my heart,

And tearing it apart.

I'm human too,

Not an animal you can find at the zoo.

I used to think you were my dream,

One that would complete my fairy tale.

Now I see we're nothing more,

Than shattered glass on a broken door.

I keep trying to forget about us,

Trying to make it sound like a must.

Day and night it's hard for me,

Which cuts more of me.

You were my first love,

Sent from a dove.

My only wish for you is this....

You cannot miss,

What doesn't exist.

See what happens when you combine.

Everything when you rewind.

What when wrong all this time?
