Chapter 7

Under an overpass

---Athena's P.O.V---

Sam, Bucky, and I were sitting in a getaway car while Steve talked to Sharon. She opened the trunk of her car to reveal the gear. I was sat on the drivers side in the back while Sam sat in the passengers seat with Bucky behind him.

"Can you move your seat up?" Bucky asked Sam and I looked at the two boys.

"No" Sam sneered.

"Just move the damn seat up Sam" I ordered and he did. Bucky looked at me and smiled. Steve and Sharon talked for another few seconds before kissing. A smirk played on my lips.

On the 6th level of a parking garage at the Leipzig/Halle airport. Steve drives into the parking lot. He parks by a grey van and we get out.

"Cap, Athena" Clint greeted and I smiled at him.

"You know I wouldn't have called If I had any other choice" Steve stated and I scoffed. All he did was chuckle.

"Hey man, you're doing me a favor. Besides, I owe a debt" Clint responded.

"Thanks for having my back" Steve thanked.

"It was time to get off my ass" Wanda interrupted and I smiled.

"How about our other recruit?" I asked.

"He's rarin' to go. Had to put a little coffee in him, but... he should be good" Clint said as he slid the van door open revealing Scott Lang also known as Ant Man.

"What timezone is this?" he asked and I stifled a laugh.

"Come on. Come on" Clint urged.

"Captain America" Scott said as he shook Steve's hand in amazement. Then he looked at me.

"Ew, who are you?" he asked me and I punched him.

"That's Athena, she has healing powers" Clint introduced and I nodded.

"What's up, Tic Tac?" Sam asked as he and Bucky got out of the car.

"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time when I..." Scott started but Sam interrupted him.

"It was a great audition, but it'll... it'll never happen again" Sam snapped.

"They tell you what we're up against?" I asked.

"Something about some... psycho-assassins?" Scott asked.

"We're outside the law on this one. So, if you come with us, you're a wanted man" Steve answered. Scott's face hardened.

"Yeah, well, what else is new?" Tic tac asked and I smiled.

"We should get moving" Barnes stated and I nodded.

"We got a chopper lined up" Barton informed.

"They're evacuating the airport" Bucky replied as a man came on the PA.

"Stark" I sneered.

"Stark?" Scott asked.

"Suit up" Steve responded. Everyone took turns in the van on changing. I didn't need to neither did Clint or Wanda. We went to a building and looked out at the scene. Then everything turned to chaos. I had no idea what I was doing but I was doing good. Then I came across spider man. He started fighting me but I blocked everything.

"Kid I got this one" Tony said then the spider guy ran away. Tony landed and his helmet went into his armor.

"You don't have to do this, you can always switch sides" he insisted.

"No" I responded.

"You're not seeing things clearly!" he stressed.

"Leave me alone!" I demanded.

"No! Not until I know that my girlfriend will be safe! You will either go and wait for this battle to be over OR you can join our side!" he shouted.

"I don't need protection! I can handle myself!" I retorted and he sighed.

"Then we should take a break, it's my job to protect you" he muttered.

"Tony....." I trailed off.

"Athena be safe we got out" Steve announced as he flew away in the jet. Tony glared at me and shot me then flew off.

---3rd person P.O.V---

Thor landed on the airfield without anyone seeing him, the others had run off to stop Cap and Bucky. He saw his sister laying on the ground with her back facing him. He ran toward his sister and he kneeled and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Sister wake up" he begged. She groaned and looked at her brother, Thor.

"Go back to Asgard, I'm not your sister" she insulted then he remembered that he never told her because she ran away.

"I am your brother, why did you think you woke up on Asgard?" he asked and she frowned knowing he was right.

"Come here" he greeted as he picked her up. The girl wrapped her arm around his neck while the other arm dangled. When she felt safe in her brothers arms the unthinkable happened. A flower crown appeared perfectly on her head. He smiled.

"Ready to go home?" he asked her.

"Yeah" she muttered.

"Heimdall when your ready" Thor said but the passage to Asgard never came.

"Heimdall" Thor grumbled. With her eyes closed Athena furrowed her eyebrows.

"Thor...." Athena mumbled.

"Yes dear sister?"

"I should s-stay" she muttered.

"No" he stated.

"Leave me here, I have other things to sort out" she demanded while opening her eyes. Thor put Athena down so she could stand.

"Trust me brother" she begged, he nodded then went back to Asgard. She was stood in the middle of the airfield alone. Then some law enforcement cars rolled up.

"Hands up!" they shouted. Athena regretfully but respectfully put her hands up. If she put up a fight now it would make things worse. A cop got out of a car and walked up to her. He pushed her onto the ground so she was on her knees. The cop handcuffed her.

"Anything you say or do will be used against you in the court of- His phone started to ring.

"Yes?" he asked the caller.

"But sir- he was interrupted by the caller.

"Secretary Ross are you sure?" the cop asked and once the call ended he forced Athena onto her feet. Once he forced her into his car he drove to the government building. She was walked to the main quarters where Nat and Ross were.
