Richie had 3 friends, Wesley, Cooper, and Sam. They were all bullies.
Richie didn't know why he was a part of that group, he hated having to be mean. I mean, sure, he cracked mom jokes and could not shut up If his life depended on it, but the idea of having to hurt someone mentally or physically was disgusting to him.
Richie only hung out with them because he was severely neglected at home and felt like if he didn't hang out with them he'd be all alone.
One day, in the hallway when he was going to get a drink, he saw Wesley holding a small boys home work about his head.
"Give it back! Please!" The small boy jumped in the air, desperate to get his assignment back.
"C'mon Wess" Richie called out to him. Wesley gave him a death glare and ripped up the boys papers into 10 pieces handing it back to him.
Richie looked over at the small boy, he was crying into his hands as Wesley walked away. "Mommas gonna be mad" he said between whimpers.
Richie, unsure, walked up to him as he got an idea.
"If you want...." he started as the small boy looked up with puffy eyes. Richie thought he looked absolutely stunning and adorable. He gulped and carried on, almost choking on his words.
"You can.. come to my house after school and we can tape it up." He said looking at his fingers.
Eddie was flustered thinking the tall stranger was gorgeous and his mouth watered even looking at him (wow I almost sexualized a "child" come at me)
"S-sure. Sure I'd be glad" Eddie said, getting up from the floor.
"So uh I'll walk you after school."
After school came and Eddie was nervously waiting, backpack on both shoulders tight.
Richie walked up to him with his backpack loosely hanging off one. As he walked towards Eddie.
Eddie still had the scraps neatly tucked into his bag. They started walking. Eddie knew his mom would throw a fit if he was 2 seconds past curfew (which was in 20 minutes ) but he didn't care, he was with the most gorgeous human he had ever laid eyes on.
"You know, you never really told me your name". Richie asked.
Eddie looked at him and bit his lip to himself out of habit as he said
"It's Eddie, Eddie Kaspbrak"
"Oh, well my names Richie. Nice to be acquainted with you Eds"
Richie said in a bad British accent
"Don't call me that"
Eddie replied, truth was, Eddie loved his new nickname and he hoped Richie never stopped calling him that.
A few months past and Richie dropped all of his crappy friends and Eddie introduced him to the rest of his. Beverly, Ben, Bill, Mike, and Stan. Or as Richie's old bully friends called them.. the Losers Club. They personally loved the name.
In 20 years, Richie and Eddie ended up marrying when Richie proposed to him on Eddies birthday. Eddie said yes and they lived happily till Eddie passed away 2 years later from a tragic drunk driving accident.
Eddie went to a bar after Richie and him had a fight and Eddie decided to drive home leading him to his death.
Richie cried every night after that for 3 weeks because the last words he said to Eddie was "Then why don't you just go!"
Richie got teary eyed every time he thought about Eddie and would close his eyes remembering the time he first saw the small boy jumping for his home work in the hall.
