Dear Eddie,

Remember me? I left Derry 26 years ago.. you definitely remember that part though.

Listen, Eddie, I'm so sorry for what I did that day.. I didn't want to leave you Ed's. My parents, they wouldn't let me stay. They said "the event" (penny wise ) changed me and I needed to move somewhere stress free.

The truth is, I never regretted all of those  hugs I gave you, I never regretted all those late-night kisses I stole.. Eddie, I missed you and I've been waiting years just to see your face. And I'm afraid I won't be able to.. I got kicked out of my apartment for late rent and I'm on the streets now. I actually got this paper from a post office down the street.

Anyway, I'm just wanting to say, I love you.. even if you've probably moved on by now. I'll never forget you Eddie spaghetti

Love from Vermont

-Trashmouth

Eddie re-read the letter nervously and immediately got into his car. He never forgot Richie and never did move on. He had been pissed, sure, but he wasn't going to let Richie die on the streets of Vermont alone and forgotten.

It took 5 hours (well.. 4 because Eddie was driving well over the speed limit) but he finally arrived.

He pulled out the letter and saw the stamp with the address.

17890 Woodstock Postal

He sped as fast as he could in the cold dark Vermont night 2 am in the morning and Eddie was tired but he pushed on all he could think about was Richie shivering in the night.

Before Eddie knew it his tires screeched to a halt we he saw a man on the curb with a thin blanket on his back and slight stubble.

Eddie jumped out of the car almost stumbling because he was running so fast.

He kneeled beside the man and heard a yell from a big farther down the sidewalk.

"Wrong homeless person!"

Eddie turned, eyes wide to be met with the faded image of his beloved

Richie tozier

He ran as fast as he could practically falling into Richie's arms embracing him with the tightest hug . Eddie swore he could smell the same scent he smelled years ago.

The crisp, silent air filled their ears comfortably.

"I can't believe you came Ed's." Richie breathed in eddies neck.

A tear rolled down eddies warm cheek

"I can't believe it either Richie."

They both drove home a long ways to derry catching up the entire time. Eddie and Richie giggled like when they were fourteen in their rooms again.

A large smile engulfed both of their faces and they were so happy that night, like many others to come.
