We stayed on the lawn staring at the Eiffel Tower together for about an hour, we didn't speak at all. Not until Jake's phone rang anyway. I was really confused. He had held my hand the whole time and I didn't even notice, it just felt right. Ugh, I bet that's how he makes all the other girls feel too. He better not try that again or I'll show him how I make guys feel bad.
"Hey dude how was your French cabaret experience?" Jake chuckled in to the phone as he answered. He looked at me quickly and flashed me a smile. Not a smirk. An actual smile. I giggled.
"Yes that is your sister in the background." He answered.
DID I JUST GIGGLE AT JAKE!?
"No we're sitting on the lawn at the Eiffel Tower man. What do you think I am! This is your sister we're talking about!" That made me frown.
"Yeah okay, we're leaving now." Jake said in to the phone. He hung up and stood up. He turned to me and extended his hand to help me up. I smiled and took his hand feeling a jolt of something as he pulled me up. This is so weird. "Your brother just assumed because you giggled that we were getting it on." He smirked at me.
"Ugh! As if I'd get it on with you!" I said outraged and let go of his hand. He frowned and he seemed upset until he took my hand back in his and brang me close to him.
"What's wrong with me?" he pouted and I laughed.
"Nothing. Apart from the fact that you're a man whore and I hate you." I smiled sweetly.
"So nothing to do with what happened last night with Ryan?" he questioned and I immediately frowned.
"I don't wanna talk about that." I whispered. He still had me in this hug like position. It was kind of nice to be some one arms. "Come on let's go before he starts asking more questions." I said and tried to push away from him.
"Addie can't you feel it?" He asked, turning serious for a moment. I gulped. Of course I could. But I didn't exactly want to think about it.
"Jake please. Not now! Let's go." I tried push away from him again but I either wasn't trying very hard or Jake had a really good grip on me.
"Addie we're in France, looking at the Eiffel Tower and it doesn't feel remotely romantic to you at all?" He was still being serious, I don't see that pleading face very often and damn it hits the spot. "Come on, relax a little. Cole is enjoying France. We should too. Let's walk slowly and take in the view. Come on please?" He was practically begging me. The only thing he could add to that was to get on his knees, but that wasn't going to happen.
"Aw George look at these two. Aren't they just gorgeous!" I heard some one say, it sounded like an old lady. FLASH. I wasn't paying attention, still looking at Jake. We both looked to where the flash came from there saw an old lady with a Polaroid camera standing a few feet away from us. "Here you go sweetie, treasure this moment." She handed me the Polaroid. I smiled. That was kind of sweet.
"Let's have a look then." Jake said and took it off me. He smiled again, no smirking. "You look amazing." He whispered and turned the photo around to show me. I gulped. This photo is what I can only describe as perfect. I had my hands on Jake's chest and he had his hands on my chest and we were looking in to each others eyes.
"It is pretty nice." I whispered. "We need to go now! Cole will wonder where we are." I said and he nodded this time. He took my hand and lead me back to the streets of France.
