"So what were you going to ask me?" I asked quietly. He was rubbing my arms up and down trying to keeps me warm.
"Well ..." he started. He was talking slow to irritate me.
"Out with it!" I snapped. He laughed.
"Will you let me give you a massage?" he asked.
"Is that it?" I asked, I was expecting something along the lines of 'will you be my girlfriend?'.
"No that's not it silly. Shut up and let me finish." He chuckled. I'm so positive he's doing this on purpose.
"Hurry up!" I complained. Some times I can an ignorant annoying complaining brat. He huffed.
"Addison Marie Baker. Will you be my girlfriend?" I smiled. I knew it! Ok so maybe I should stop doing my mental happy dance and answer.
I turned around so I was sitting on his lap straddling him and nodded me head. "I'd love to be your girlfriend." I giggled and kissed him sweetly. He kissed me back roughly licking my lips asking for entrance. I considered being a tease but I thought better of it. So I granted him entrance, he kissed me eagerly tangling his hands in my hair.
"I'M HOME!" Cole yelled. We both jumped. Before we knew it the bathroom door swung open and a sober Cole was standing in the door way staring at us. Oh dear, I'm not sure he'd be able to turn a blind eye this time. "Jake what is my sister practically naked in the bath." He asked surprisingly calm, but I could just hear the acid in his voice this was gonna get nasty really quickly.
"Cole relax we're just chilling out." He replied, I could feel his heart beating quickly but he was acting pretty calm.
"You think making out with my half naked sister is chillaxing?" Cole raised his voice. Here we go ...
"Cole stop it!" I yelled.
"Shut up Addison! Get out now! Go to your room!" he spat. I was horrified at the way he just spoke to me. He tells me all these things, like Jake really cares about me and he's happy if I'm happy and he freaks out when he catches us having a bubble bath with bathing suits on. It's not like we were naked.
"Don't talk to her like that dude. She didn't do anything wrong!" Jake said. "It was my idea not Addison's!" Aw Jake is sticking up for me. What a good boyfriend.
"Do you expect me to be calm about this Jake? Seriously? I know you like her and all but she's not one of those easy sluts from back home! This is my sister we're talking about! You can't use your good looks and charms on her! I won't have it!" He yelled. I stood up and got out. I was gonna let them have it out.
I locked myself in my room and dried off before putting my pajama shorts on and finally finding my top. I sighed and got in to bed turning on the TV trying to drown out the yelling. Twenty minutes later and the yelling had stopped and they were talking civilly. I came out of my room to get a glass of water. Jake was standing in the kitchen in his board shorts and Cole was standing in front of him. They stopped talking when I walked by both of them smiling at Jake and ignoring Cole.
I understand that he's trying to look after me but I'm sure there's a better way then attacking the love interest who just happens to be his best friend. I got a glass of water and walked back to my bedroom ignoring Cole asking me to stay and talk. He didn't even say sorry for the way he talked to me.
I went to sleep after watching a movie. I thought that Jake might come in during the night but I guess Cole had him on a tight leash. This isn't fair! Jake just asked me out, I wonder if Jake told Cole that.
In the morning I was up early but I stayed in bed watching the morning news. Tomorrow we were going to be leaving for London. I got dressed in to a pair of jeans and a tank top putting on some ballet flats. I pulled my hair in to a pony tail and went out to the kitchen to see a grumpy looking Cole. He was making toast. I walked past him so I could make some coffee. "Addie we need to talk."
"No. We don't. You made it perfectly clear last night that you can not deal with the fact that I like your best friend." I walked off leaving my coffee and grabbed my keys and walked out of the hotel room. I walked the streets browsing in to shops that had many things that I couldn't afford, because Cole wasn't here and he was the one with all the money. I sighed and went to the little café that Jake took me to yesterday morning and ordered some scrambled eggs and a coffee.
Fancy eating at a nice café in Paris all by yourself. Seems hardly fair when you should have a loving brother and an awesome boyfriend with you. I sighed as I ate. I continued my window shopping a few hours, Cole was going to come to the museums with me and Jake today but I guess that wasn't going to happen anymore. Some holiday this is! I miss my mom.
Slowly I made my way back to the hotel. When I got there I took my time getting back to the room. I knew I was going to have to face Cole sooner or later. I haven't even seen Jake today. I kinda miss him. When I walked in Cole and Jake were sitting on the couch, Jake was looking bored as hell. "Where did you go?" Cole asked. He wasn't angry but he looked worried.
"Out." I answered and walked to the kitchen to make myself a sandwich. I had been gone over four hours, quite surprised I didn't get lost. "Hey you! Boyfriend! Come watch cartoons with me." I said with a grin. Cole glanced at Jake who grinned back.
"Did you forget to mention that Jake?" Cole asked clearly surprised.
"Thought it would have a bit obvious." He mumbled.
"Hurry up!"
"Bye." He grinned at Cole and followed me in to the bedroom closing the door behind him. Locking it just in case.
He crawled on to the bed with me and pulled me in to a hug. "I missed you." I breathed in to his chest.
"I'm sorry. I got angry with Cole last night and went out." He said.
"Don't say sorry. It wasn't your fault." I grumbled. He laughed.
"But I missed you too." He chuckled. "I was gonna come in last night when I got back but Cole was sleeping on the couch and I didn't want to risk another fight." He whispered.
"It's ok. But thank you for sticking up for last night." I smiled.
"No problem. I'd rather him yell at me then you any day."
