It was strange but I was actually starting to warm to Jake. Maybe it was because we were in one of the most romantic cities or maybe it was because he wasn't being a jack ass. As we walked back to where Cole was I held his hand tight because apparently late at night the creepy people come out. "Scared?" He breathed in to my ear as we walked at a crossing for the lights to change. I nodded silently. "Don't worry I won't let any one hurt you." He whispered as the light changed to green and we started to walk.
"What took you two so bloody long?" Cole snapped as we walked across the road. "And why are you holding hands?" He seemed pretty calm considering his best friend was holding his sisters hand.
"I was scared, there's some creepy people around at night." I said. He nodded and winked at Jake. What was that? Shouldn't he be bashing him up or something? Eh oh well. I didn't let go of his hand, he looked at me as we started walking, I think he was confused. I thought I'd feel really uncomfortable walking around here with my brother holding his best friends hand but didn't seem to bother me.
Cole started graphically explaining his adventure in to the strip joint and I zoned out as Jake pulled me down the street to our hotel. I yawned as we finally got to the door. "Bed time Addie." Cole instructed. I nodded.
I finally let go of Jake's hand and walked off to my room. I kicked off my shoes and rummaged through my stuff to find my pajamas. I found my shorts and couldn't find my top so I settled for sleeping in my bra. I'm sure this will end badly I thought to my self as I went to the bath room to brush my teeth. "Oh sorry." Jake walked in with out a shirt on. I caught him staring at my boobs.
"My face is up here Jake." I giggled crossing my arms over my chest.
"Sorry." He mumbled and excused himself, I smiled to myself.
I walked slowly back to my room and saw Cole talking to Jake. It looked like Jake was explaining to Cole what happened. All of a sudden Cole started laughing. "Ha that's gold! Any who dude I'm going down to the bar to pick up you coming?" He asked. I wondered whether or not Jake would say yes to picking up.
"Nah I'm gonna go to bed. It's been a long day." He answered. I heard the front door open and close soon after that. I turned off my light and crawled in to bed. I sighed. All in all I thought that after all the drama the end of the night ws pretty amazing.
Just as I was dozing off I heard a knocked at the door. I couldn't be bothered getting up so I let out a groan. The door opened and soon some one was crawling in to be with me. "Hi." Jake whispered.
"Hi." I whispered back closing my eyes again. He shuffled over to me. I was facing him but I was really tired and was struggling to keep my eyes open. "What's up?" I asked sleepily adding a yawn at the end.
"I just wanted to see you." He smiled.
"Aw. Jake you see me all the time!" I managed a giggled.
"Just thought once more tonight wouldn't hurt." He chuckled and put his arm around my waist pulling over to him. I closed my eyes, I could feel his breath tickling my neck sending chills all over my body.
"Mmm." I replied closing my eyes and drifting off in to a pleasantness of sleep land. Dreaming of Jake and looking at the Eiffel Tower, by far one of the better dreams I've had in a long time.
When I woke up in the morning Jake was gone and I'm pretty sure that I actually pouted. I got up gathering my clothes I was going to wear today. A pretty dress that hugged my figure perfectly, it had a flowery pattern with loads of different colors. It was rather cute. I walked out of my room and over to the bathroom. "Morning Addison." I heard Cole's voice but I couldn't see him. I looked around the room and found him sitting on the couch with a coffee, looking not the happiest he could. Considering he won half a million dollars.
"Hi Cole." I replied approaching him cautiously. I wonder if he caught Jake in my bed last night? When did he leave? "What's up?" I asked.
"I came to check on you last night and I found a certain friend of mine in your bed." He replied. Ah I was right. Oh dear, this will be interesting.
"Oh." Was all I could think of.
"Come sit with me Addie. We need to talk about this." He said calmly, wow he's doing pretty good at the moment. Hopefully he won't bottle it up and explode.
"I don't know what to say Cole, he just kind of came in." I said quietly as I walked towards him and sat on the couch placing my clothes next to me.
"Look it's kind of obvious that Jake has feelings for you. I'm willing to turn a blind eye if that's what you want." He said and I was about to say something when I realized what he said.
"What?"
"You heard me. I will turn a blind eye. If he makes you happy ... I know that the whole Ryan thing was probably a bit unfair so ... yeah." I guess this was a little awkward for him.
"Um ok... I think."
"Cool. Well I'm going to bed." He yawned getting up.
"Did you just get back?" I asked.
"Nah I've been back for about an hour. Waiting for you." He said. I looked at the clock it was ten thirty in the morning.
"You sir are insane." I laughed.
"I know!" he groaned and walked off to the bedroom. I sat there for a minute wondering what just happened. Turn a blind eye? My brother NEVER turns a blind eye! What's he on? This is so strange.
I finally got up to have a shower I washed my hair and let it dry by itself. I dried wavy, I straightened my bangs and got dressed. When I came out of the bathroom I was nice and refreshed and hungry, ready for my croissant. I saw Jake come out of the bedroom with wet hair and wearing no shirt. I smiled at him, trying really hard not to stare.
"I got caught." He chuckled.
"I know ..." I went to the kitchen and boiled the kettle to make some coffee.
He came over to the kitchen and wrapped his arms around me. I smiled, all this boy contact was making me happy. I was trying to avoid thinking about the fact that it was Jake that was making the contact. "Do you wanna go see the Eiffel Tower today?" He asked. I nodded.
"Sure."
"Go put some shoes on." He smiled, he let me go and I went and found a pair of shoes that matched my dress. Today is going to be good.
