Petr rolled to his back and stretched his body on the bed. He flexed his legs knowing it was only a matter of time before they became useless.
He sighed, this plan was not going the way he thought it would. He was beginning to doubt how long he'll have to continue with this facade. He could just imagine Ryan telling him 'I told you so'. Thoughts of Ryan quickly straightened his resolve in finding a wife.
Sure, he teased Ryan and Jaxon endlessly and sure he had enjoyed his days of being a playboy, but seeing Ryan and Jaxon so consumed with happiness all the time had made him happy for them. But along with that, was also the inevitable twinge of envy fro the happiness they both had. Somehow, that twinge of envy had grown bigger with time.
But so did guilt. He had always been the laid back one among the three, also the youngest and he hated the fact that rather than be happy for them, he wished they would stop being so goddamn happy all the time.
What sort of fucked up friend was he?
Petr suddenly frowned as if just coming to terms with his surroundings.
He looked to his right and stiffened when he caught sight of Diedre in his bed. WTF!!!
He sat up a little too fast and winced as his head ached. He brought his fingers to his head and massaged temple. He could vaguely recall pulling her to his bed bit what was she doing in his house in the first place?
Peter had always prided himself in the fact that he hardly got sick, but the problem was that when he finally got sick it was intense.
And for some strange reason he had come down with a fever yesterday. He sniffed and gagged. How the hell did Diedre survive beside him. Making sure she was fast asleep, he rushed to the bathroom and took the fastest shower of his life ignoring the serious ache in his head.
He placed his hand on the wall and lowered his head as the migraine increased. He let the shower rain om him a few more minutes b4 he shut it.

Then turned off the shower, sluggishly towel dried his body and wrapped a towel around his waist.
Ignoring the irritating weakness in his body, he pushed the wheel chair to his bedside, and forced himself to finally put on his silk boxers. He chuckled as he imagined Diedre's reaction when she realized he slept naked. He needed to change the sheets but that would definitely wake Diedre up and frankly he was about to fall any moment from now.
Unable to hold himself up any longer, he slumped to the bed and shut his eyes.
He needed to eat and take his meds but he didn't have any ounce of strength left. He turned to see Diedre still asleep and frowned.
She looked really exhausted, so why was she here, in his bed?
He shifted to his side and weakly trailed his fingers over the frown lines on her face.
Despite how weak he was, he grinned smugly when she leaned into his hand and sighed. He pulled her to his side and she claimed his body, nuzzling her face into his neck.
He laughed and clenched his eyes shut in pain, she could deny their attraction as much as she wanted but they both knew she was attracted to him. He just had to make her see it.
Once this sickness was over, of course.
He inhaled sharply when she shifted as if trying to find a more comfortable spot on hus hard body. He cursed and gripped her hips to stop her movement. If she didn't stop moving, another part of his anatomy was going to get harder.
