"Y/n?"
You faced away and squeezed your eyes shut. Footsteps became louder till they stopped right behind you. A hand grabbed your shoulder but you shrugged it off. He tried again but you turned to slap the hand away, failing as he caught it easily and gently grasped it. You finally looked up into his eyes.
Those beautiful, hazel eyes that you had fallen for before. They were filled with concern and disbelief, but also joy? You pulled away from his grasp, face flushed a bright red not from shame, but from embarrassment.
"Please leave me alone Genji. I don't want to be around such a heartless person." He sighed.
"I'm not heartless Y/n, I was just a stupid kid back in highschool. I cared about you, a lot. I was just too stupid to realize-"
"Shut up. If you cared about me so much you wouldn't have done the things you did. You were old enough to make your own decisions Genji. Don't give me none of that 'I was young' shit." You turned away, not wanting to look at the mature Shimada.
"But I was young Y/n. I realized my feelings too late. Once I realized all I wanted was in front of me, I lost my mind. I looked for you, asked around campus, but even then I still didn't have a trace of where you went." He trailed off. You simply rolled your eyes and began to walk away. This was the last thing on your mind and you did not want to hear it.
He grabbed your arm again, this time tighter. You glanced back at him and angrily pried his fingers off of you one by one. It surprised you that the girl from before made her way over, leaning on his shoulder playfully.
"Something going on here Genji?" Her voice sang but with an obvious protectiveness. Genji just stared at you but before he could manage a word you put up a finger, silencing the boy.
"Nothing's wrong, we were just talking." You plastered a fake smile on your face, but sighed as you made your way around and walked toward the stage. The other two just watched you go off, Genji slightly disappointed as he thought this could've gone better.
"What role does she play? Do you know Roxy?" Genji asked. The girl now known as Roxy, answered as her look hardened. The obvious chemistry between you an Genji made her uneasy of your presence, so she answered calmly but with a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"I believe she plays the other main role in this script. The one you're supposed to fall for instead of me." Genji nodded and smiled at Roxy.
"Wether she likes it or not, she's going to have to talk to me sooner or later. I knew her back in Highschool. We were great till I messed up and totally ruined what we had. I just want her to be my friend again, that's all I ask for." The sorrow in his eyes made Roxy's heart tighten. She really liked Genji ever since they met at registration, but she smiled at Genji and put a hand on his shoulder, chuckling as he looked up at her.
"I'm sure she'll come around. Were you guys dating or something?" Again, Genji nodded. Those hazel orbs softening as he gazed at you from afar, a smile present on his lips.
"Alrighty people, set up! We got some rehearsing to do and I would like to go home early today so come on out newbies." You emerged from behind the curtains, Genji and Roxy following behind a bit later.
"These are my stars? Some good ass looking people!" He laughed. "Alright now show me whatcha got kids."
A/n: I'm skipping over the acting until it becomes convenient for the plot or drama lul.
Don't kill me.
So after your first rehearsal, you were glad that everything seemed to go smoothly. You could tell the producer was an ass but a very successful one. He gave a few pointers and even taught you how to dramatically move without it seeming too unrealistic, not to mention he compliment your memorization and charisma as your character seemed to be the most sincere. After grabbing your black bag, you walked out the theatre doors and down the narrow hall just a bit before someone hollered.
"Y/n!"
No.
Why was this so familiar? You turned, showing a face of obvious annoyance. There was Genji with his tall, attractive figure accompanied with Roxy at his right side, who's cheeks were tinted a rosy pink. Her white dress shirt showing it more so. You smiled at her, only to have her eyes look away. This caused a frown, now not wanting to be with the both of them.
"Yes?" You raised a brow.
"Hey! Um I just wanted to know if you would-"
"No." You said flatly. They both held the same expression but Roxy was first to recover. She rested her hands on the black skirt that hugged her hips as she cocked her head to the side, her face red with anger.
"You know it's totally rude to just reject someone like that! You need to think about people's feeling before you do something missy. Didn't your mother teach you these things?" It was your turn, now you were furious. Not only did she bring up your mother, who you are very fond of, but she doesn't even know the start of your story and where you come from.
"I'm rude? If you knew half the person Genji was, you'd understand that thinking about someone else's feelings is something you never do. Maybe if he wanted some of my respect and consideration, he should've thought twice about what he was doing and how much of an impact he made on my life. So before you start throwing about all this false heroism, I suggest you LEARN FROM ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE." You spat the last part. With that, you quickly walked away leaving the two in silence.
"You just made her more angry." Genji started. "I don't think she's ever going to forgive me." Roxy looked at your furious walking figure and back at Genji.
"What the hell did you do to the poor girl?"
Genji sighed, taking a seat in the brown chair that was outside the theatre door.
"Something absolutely unforgivable."
