All I can say right now is...Thank God it's my senior year of high school. This town is so draining, it drives me crazy. So thankful I will leaving this place and head to USF. I mean don't get me wrong it will be hard to leave this place only because of my friends and my mom. Well my foster mom, but she treats me like her own and makes me feel special. Unfortunately my father died when I was 11, the same age when Sam lost hers. That comparison is what made us closer than ever. Since then we were two peas in a pot...well including Carter I guess haha. The three of us are practically the Three Musketeers.

Everyday I wake up at 5:00am to help my mom set up the diner for the day. She always tells me that I don't have to but I want to. Besides she's practically running this place when Sam's wicked step mother, Fiona, should be doing it. Instead, she takes most of the money from the register for either shopping or liposuction. After school or cheerleading I usually go back to the diner and help out in anyway I can.

So today at "Fiona's Diner"....ugh that witch is everywhere. Anyway, it's just like any other day; music blaring, Mr. Bobby cooking things using nothing but salmon, and the ladies skating around like pros. Well except Ms. Eleanor, who just took a nasty fall...ouch that's gonna leave a mark.

Getting up out of my seat I rush to help her. "Oh my gosh! Are you okay Ms. Eleanooo-" unfortunately she brings me down with her. "Ooh. Jasmine, sweetie are you guys okay?" my mom asked. Jasmine groans and replies, " Uh huh all good, maybe a trip to the chiropractor but I'm good". I get up very slowly and start to walk slowly to my table and finish studying, then I hear my mom and Sam talking while Sam busts the tables.

"Sam, what are you still doing here?", Rhonda asked. "I'm almost done", she said. "You're gonna be late for school", Mom says. "I'll get there. Fiona goes ballistic if I don't finish" Sam said. " I couldn't care less about Fiona. What I care about is both you and Jasmine's education." Mom argues with her hand on her hips following Sam table by table. "But..", Sam's quickly interrupted by Mom. "She's getting you up at the crack of dawn like some kind of rooster". "But I..', interrupted again. "Your dad would want you at school, not here". "But Rhon...', interrupted again.

Geez thank goodness that's not me right now because I would be a little aggravated with the interruptions. At least it's for a good reason...this time. "No more "buts." You just leave Fiona and her big butt to me", Mom says while taking away the bucket of dirty dishes from Sam. "Thanks, Rhonda". Finally a completed sentence without any interruptions.

"Get. And take my daughter out of here too while you're at it.", Rhonda says. "Well I love you too, Mom.", Jasmine said sarcastically while gathering her things. " Oh and don't worry I drove my own car today, but I'll be back after cheerleading practice. Okay?', I tell my mom. " I'm sorry sweetie I only meant that with love. Alright now be safe. And stay away from them boys too', Rhonda yells as the girls leave out of the diner.

"Alright so meet in the parking lot after you pick up Carter?', Jasmine asked. "You know it", Sam replied.

Luckily as soon as I got to school there was a parking spot available for me in the white zone.
