Chapter Thirty Nine

Alec's POV

"Daddy I'm sleepy" Bella whines.

"Were almost their Bella" I say as I walk up the front steps of Zeus human house.

Yes Zeus has also moved down to earth.

I don't know why though?

I knock on his door and he opens it after a minute or 2.

"Alec?" He says in shock.

I nod and be let's me in.

I notice small toys on the floor but I don't ask why.

"Is that Isabella?" Zeus asks.

I nod and look down at her.

She was sound asleep in my arms.

"Grandpa I can't sleep" a little boy says walking into the room.

He freezes when he sees me.

"Don't be shy Carter, this is your Uncle Alec" Zeus says.

I look at him confused.

"I'll tell you later" he whispers as Carter walks towards him.

Zeus picks him up and he yawns.

"Let's get you back to bed ok?" Zeus says and Carter nods.

"Carter you see that little girl?" Zeus says pointing to Bella. Carter nods slowly.

"She's gonna have a sleep over with you ok" Zeus adds.

Carter nods shyly and walks down a hall.

I follow him and he walks to a room with a blue door.

He opens the door and walks in putting Carter back to bed.

I lay Isabella next to him and Zeus tucks them both in.

He says goodnight to Carter before we go back to the living room.

"Who is he?" I ask.

"Nyla's son" he says sadly.

My eyes widen.

Didn't Hades kill her when she was pregnant?

"How?" I ask shocked.

"She had the baby, and brought him to me" he says.

"She was acting weird and told me to watch him she said she loved me, said goodbye to Carter then left" he says.

"About an hour later she died" he adds frowning.

"I'm sorry" I say.

"It's ok, have you found Maize yet?" He asks. I nod sadly.

"Exactly one year after we got separated; which was yesterday, Bella snuck out, Maize found her and Bella told her where she lived" I began.

"She brought Bella back and when I answered the door I was just as shocked as her" I frowned.

"She hid Charlotte behind her, I tried to apologize but she was so mad" I said starting to cry.

"Why?" Zeus asks.

"I didn't try to contact her or even really find her" I admit sadly. Zeus looks shocked.

"I was only focused on keeping Bella safe" I say wiping my eyes.

"Did she run away after? Why didn't you run after her?" Zeus says. I shake my head.

"One of the three came out of the elevator, I yelled at her and told her to take Charlie and run, Bella shielded me and Maize ran with Charlie" I frown.

"You'll find her again Alec. You just have to wait for the right time" Zeus smiles. I nod sadly.

Artemis's POV

How could I be so stupid!

What have I done?

Why is this happening to me?

One drunken mistake could changed my life forever.

One little test has the answer.

So how was this chapter? Kinda Short, Sorry if it sucks.

What do you think Artemis did when she was drunk? What test does she have to take?

So now Alec knows Nyla had a baby boy before she was killed, Alec is living with Zeus now btw.
