Personally staying at home all day wasn't a big deal for me. I made myself a cup of coffee, snuggled up in my favorite blanket, and grabbed a book that I was planning to read when I got back home in February. William on the other hand was not having it. Like a child with ADHD, he paced around the entire house at least twenty times already.
I looked up from my book in annoyance, but if course he didn't notice. Instead he looked at the pictures hanging against the wall. Photos of Clarke and I as children or babies, our first day of school in our entire life, and my favorite. Clarke and I trying our hardest to learn how to ice skate. Of course Clarke got it since she's an excellent balancer, but me on the other hand looks like a newborn baby deer on a unicycle.
William the made to the kitchen, he even opened the fridge a couple of times without grabbing anything out. Just countlessly staring at it before closing.
He finally turned to me all serious looking. "I don't know how you can sit there and act like you're not confined in four walls that make a house!"
I held in mt laughter, "I've had years of practice."
He groaned before walking over and taking a seat besides me. Looking at the book I was reading. I raised my eyes to look at him and again resisted to smile.
"I can now understand how people go insane when locked in a room." He said. I'm guessing it was a joke, but he wasn't laughing.
"You're just like a child." I grin. Looking back at my book I'm trying to read but instead my eyes just scanned the page.
"Let's go somewhere."
I looked up again, this time book marking my spot with the tiny paper and setting it on my lap.
"You heard what Angie said. We aren't allowed." I reminded him.
He looked around the room. "I don't see Angie." he smirked, "do you?"
"No." I bit my lip to stop me from smiling.
He gave me the signature puppy dog eyes and I completely broke.
"I hope you like dogs." I pushes myself off the couch. Grabbing my shoes and putting them on.
"Dogs?" He looked puzzled.
"Yes, dogs." I repeated. "Ralph likes to lick people."
"Who's Ralph?" He looked even more confused than normal and I continued to laugh.
"Come on," I smirk while slipping on Clarke's shoes since I didn't own any easy slip ons.
We walked over to Ms. Rodriguez house. William's hoodie and my jacket hoods were up just in case someone recognized who we were, even though with a hood on brings more attention than you'd expect. Then again I was just introduced to William's world almost a month ago.
When the doorbell rang you could hear Ms. Rodriguez yell at us. "Alejarse de mi puerta!"
I could only guess what she was saying, but I rang the doorbell again. You could hear Ralph's feet scraping the door but not one bark came from him. He never barks, unless it's towards squirrels. He can bark up a storm when it comes to any small rodents. I wonder if Clarke introduce Cress to Ralph yet, there no doubt that she did. Or that Ms. Rodriguez caught a glimpse of her through a window.
"I don't want anything you're selling," Ms. Rodriguez paused when the door swung open. Ralph wasn't anywhere to be seen. "Who the hell are you?" She looked over William who I could tell was scared for his life. Ms. Rodriguez happens to be the nicer person ever unless you're a salesman or telemarketer.
