Falling for You - The Avengers / Captain America Fan-Fiction - Book 1

Chapter 1 - Ordinary Day

(My name is Jessy Stark. I'm 23 years old)

I sat in my room and pondered. My dad was out saving people, and my mom was at work. I had nothing to do that day. So, I just sat there in my room.

Being the daughter of a superhero was actually pretty awesome. My dad was Tony Stark, and he was the superhero known as Iron Man. My mom was Pepper Potts, to which her and my dad have been inseparable since they got married. My dad was always saving people and saving the world, about twenty four hours a day. I did enjoy being the daughter of a famous superhero.

While I was sitting in my room, I heard a loud noise, coming from the outside balcony. I stood up, and walked into the living room. There stood my dad; he had just finished getting out of his Iron Man suit. My dad looked up at me and smiled.

"Hey sweetie" My dad greeted me.

"Hey dad, how did it go today?" I asked.

"It was crazy as usual, but it's all done" he said.

"Nice" I said.

"Have you heard from your mom today?" My dad asked me.

"She told me this morning, before she left, she was going to be late tonight" I replied.

"Alright then" My dad said.

I walked over to the big window in our living room. My dad, my mom, and I lived in New York city, in a building called Stark Tower.

"Oh, by the way, we have to go to SHIELD this evening. There is a meeting between myself, Agent Coulson, Director Fury, and the Avengers" My dad noted.

"Okay dad" I said.

My dad was a part of The Avengers, who were a part of SHIELD. The Avengers were Iron Man (Tony Stark), Thor, Captain America (Steve Rogers), Hulk (Bruce Banner), Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), and Hawkeye (Clint Barton). Nick Fury and Phil Coulson were the main agents of SHIELD.

"Dad, what time do we have to be there?" I asked.

"We need to leave here at 7:30pm; the meeting starts at 8:00pm" My dad replied.

"Okay" I said.

I walked over to the couch and sat down. My dad began to prepare a drink for himself. I grabbed the remote and turned on the television. I began to flip through the channels.

"Jessy, is there anything good on television?" My dad asked me.

"Nothing right now, I'm looking through the channels" I said.

My dad picked up his drink, came over to the couch, and sat down next to me.

"Let me see the remote for a second" My dad said.

I handed the TV remote to my dad, and he started to flip through the channels. He was having trouble trying to find something to watch.

"I guess we will have to stick with football" My dad said.

"Works for me" I said.

We sat there and watched the football game, since there wasn't anything else on television. My dad sipped on his drink, as we watched the game.

The game last for a few good hours. The team were were cheering for had won the game. My mom was still not home from work. I peeked over at the clock; it said 6:30pm.

"Dad, it's 6:30pm" I said.

"Oh, we need to get ready and go" My dad said, quickly.

I got up from the couch, and ran into the bathroom, to take a shower.

"Jessy!" My dad called.

"Yes, dad?" I called back

"Phil Coulson, just sent me a message" he said.

"What did he say?" I asked.

"He said that we need to go ahead and come to the meeting" My dad replied.

"Okay, I'll be ready in a few minutes" I called back.

I jumped out of the shower, and dried off quickly. I picked out an outfit, to which it was a button up shirt with a tank top underneath, jeans, and sneakers. I ran back into the bathroom, brushed my teeth, and combed out my hair.

I was all dressed and ready to go, as I came out of the bathroom. My dad was sitting on the couch, waiting for me.

"You all set?" My dad asked me.

"Yes" I said.

My dad got up from the couch, and headed for the front door. He opened it, and walked out. I followed behind him, as we walked downstairs to the car lot. When we got to our car, my dad got in and started it. I climbed in and we drove away.

I was trying to figure out why there was a meeting being held at SHIELD. This does happen on a regular daily basis. All of the Avengers were going to be there. I was hoping that the meeting would go well.

"You know; Captain America has been asking about you lately" My dad said.

"Really?" I asked, curiously.

"Yeah, he has been asking about you a lot, and will have to talk to him about it" My dad explained.

"Okay" I said.

We continued to drive to the meeting at SHIELD. Now, I began to wonder why Captain America (Steve Rogers) has been asking about me. I guess I would have to wait and find out.
